Sounds like a threatened abortion. I had that happen to me when I was 6 weeks pregnant with my second daughter. She turned out to be perfectly fine. They probably told her to rest and not do too much for a while.

In early pregnancy, sometimes women do experience some light spotting; it's usually nothing to worry about, although it's a good idea to report it to the doctor. And pains in the abdomen are also very common in early pregnancy; it's usually just cramping caused by the changes going on in the uterus as it expands. If a doctor has done an examination and says that the baby is still there, then at this point it sounds like all is well.

Implantation is 10 after conception so I serioulsy doubt that was it.

She could be feeling discomfort if she is very thin and the unterus is growing (as in the case of twins?)

There could be a progesterone imbalance that needs looking into and yes can be corrected. (because of the bleeding)

Or she simply might of been hungry and not realised it.

nothing to worry about.
if the doc says, every thing is fine, then you need not worry and put more stress on this pregnant lady....

the spotting which you mentioned, some women get through out the whole pregnancy.
i know tw ofriends of mine would get spotting regularily every month as you would get your monthly period...
everyone is different...
but if the doc says all is good.. then all is good.

good luck
