If so, why? Just because I saw it doesn't mean I believe in the metaphor behind the story. I see movies all the time with pre-marital sex in it(chick flicks like The Notebook, teen movies like Juno), but that doesn't mean I believe in or support that idea, does it? Nope. It's just entertainment. I found "The Golden Compass" entertaining. I don't think that's a sin. Any thoughts?

I am just a really lucky guy. I am a sophomore in high school and everything that could possibly go my way (and even more) has. If i forget to do homework, the teacher will decide to postpone the due date. If I guess an answer on a test, its normally right. I had a final against a strong team, and they pulled out at the last second due to religious reasons. I am also lucky enough to have a great friend I can talk to. Problem is, I dont think I deserve this. There are people who i know that could really use some luck now and then. Anyone know how I could possibly help them attain some luck on their own, or maybe just use my luck to help them out in general. Thanks.

Hello, I want to run my first half marathon. The most I've ever run in one go is probably 10 miles. Is it ok to walk during the half marathon without having to step out in the race? If my goal is completing, how much time am I given before the race usually closes? Is it looked down upon to run/walk this for the goal of finishing?

I've done many 5k road races but this is the first time I'll ever attempt this.. do I use racing flats or run in trainers?

i am like 5' 8 and would like to know if a size med. north face jacket would fit me. I purchased a northface snorkal last year and i find that the bottom is rather long and sleeves are aswell..its a medium but i was wondering if other north face jackets would fit the same?

Over the past few weeks, we've been getting random magazine subscriptions for a person who doesn't live here. While I don't mind the free issues of Men's Health, I'm wondering what the hell is going on. Is this some kind of fraud? Are we going to be at all responsible for the unpaid invoices for these? And why would someone order subscriptions to an address he doesn't even live at?

and seem settled. I know for a fact that one of them is and has been very unhappy and feels that their life was wasted by staying in the marriage all of this time. I personally have no relationship to speak of with one of them. To this day I feel that I might be a better person if I had better role models as a child.
