force? I've been practicing magick for nearly 10 years & have never experienced this before! I'm in the middle of a 7 knob candle spell & it re-ignited and was very resistant to being pinched out. This is a good sign that I have a very strong force right?

I don't mean my force, I mean a spiritual force :)

As for the 2nd answer IT'S A 7 KNOB CANDLE & NEEDS TO BE PINCHED OUT each night after a 1 knob is burned. (You have lots of experience & didn't know what a 7 knob candle is?) You can't let a 7 day candle burn straight through!!!

I agree that it could be a sign of a strong force....or a strong wick! Either case, I think it would be a positive thing!

What are you meaning by "force"? In you? Not necessarily. That you have connected to? Possibly. I would not take it so much as a positive confirmation, but rather as a call to re-examine what I am currently doing. It never hurts to take a second look at progress, motive, current emotions, etc.

P.S. It's not that we do not know what a seven knob candle is. I, personally have never used one and see no need to. (I made candles in a metaphysical candle store. We used scents, stones, and color to enhance the properties of the candles.) I am VERY familiar with burn rate in candles being influenced by spiritual force. Despite your intention that the candle needs to be pinched out, I believe (and obviously I am not alone) that if your candle does not extinguish, you are being given the message that your intent is being kicked into "high gear", so to speak, and you should acquiesce to this message. YOU may believe that the spellwork is under your control, but look at my original post. If you are in a struggle of wills with a "spiritual force" regarding the execution of a spell, it IS wise to step back and see if your intent is working smoothly with the Universe. If it is, you are receiving help on a higher level, don't fight it. If it isn't, then assess where you can get your intent to blend more cooperatively with the spiritual force you are working with. The key is "working with", not "bending to your will".

When the flame returns after being "pinched out" it means you need to let the flame burn. I know this may seem impractical, especially if it is late, and you want to go to bed, and don't want a candle burning un-attended, but you need to let it burn out on its' own.

EDIT: Why assume I don't know what a "7 knob candle" is? I simply believe, from my experience, when a candle is pinched out. . . and it re-ignites. . . then you should let it burn. I never implied that "re-igniting" is negative. . . quite the opposite. . . positively powerful!

In most spells you are to let the candle burn down so it may be that is what the spell needs .Some times you craft tools tell you what you need to do

It means you didn't pinch it out well enough and it was still hot.

Next time use a snuffer or just blow it out. Contrary to popular belief, neither one affects the spell negatively.

You asked what does it mean? It means that you didn't pinch the wick properly. Afraid of getting burned? Pinch it with a small towel and see if it relites?
