I have often watched the news and wondered if there is more I can do, but, so many years after BandAid, USA for Africa etc, the situation seems to be just as bad, if not worse. Constant civil wars, corruption, failed economies etc.

Can someone please enlighten me on the situation? I understand that the Europeans left a bad legacy as the Africans were decolonized, with little regard for tribal / ethnic notions of land / borders. However, is this a liitle too simplistic? I compare so many successful nations in Asia (think Singapore, India, Hong Kong etc) that were also former European colonies, yet they do not seem to be the economic basket cases we see in Africa (and yes, I realise that ALL nations have some problems, even the Asian ones I mentioned, but none seem to have the ongoing issues with poverty, disease and war that African nations have).

Please do not think this is a swipe at hardworking Africans, just trying to understand the root of problems and solutions.

My girlfriend and I sat down watching 4 titles yesterday . She was sweating and terribly scared but I wasn't easily shocked at all. Some of the visuals were graphically disturbing and even though I was totally immersed into the storyline, I couldn't find one scene that would tremble me a bit. I was more busy noticing the camera goof-ups, plastic paints and ham expressions of the actor.

Most useless genre of movies I guess.

now this (small) band of Muslims who happen to be British protested outside the Sudanese embassy.
How right are they in saying what they did.??? The nutters are dragging down the peaceful lot. It warmed the cockles of my heart to see this little demo.
Does anyone know if this was organised by the Muslim council of GB, or was it just these individuals??

I want to create my own website. I'm worried that the traffic to my website could exceed the my allowed bandwidth and I could be stuck with a huge bill from the web host provider. Could this happen or is this something I shouldn't worry about? Thank you.

Presumably it will eventually replace the Dollar as the reserve currency for the North Atlantic's Alliance, maybe for the first time opposing other currencies in worldwide trade particularly of oil. Then for instance will the Amero continue to be redeemable only through NYMEX and IPE? Will dollars become worthless in due course? If so what happens to our holdings, i.e will the amount we owe America and the rest of the world counter balance the amount we are owed and vise versa so it's no problem?

I really am clueless as to whether she is Muslim or not. I will assume she is.
Why does she tell so many false things about Islam?
i.e. If a Muslim man marries a non Muslim woman then the marriage is not valid until the couple has sex. If they don't have sex on their wedding night without a just reason(the wife is on her period) then the marriage is nullified.

just one among SO many things she says that are not correct and false to a degree of dangerous levels. Not only does she claim they are truth she fails to EVER quote Quran or hadeeth.
