I remember my husband proposing to me vividly. There was no ring, we had no money for one as we were both trying to get through graduate school taking as little student loans as possible. He brought me some flowers tied with a bow and afterward I wrote the date on the bow and dried one of the flowers which I still keep. Super hokey I know.

I remember when my fiancee proposed to me...he told me he woke up that morning and was thought "Today is the day." He had to scramble around to get the ring and back home in time before I got back.

No, because I didn't propose to my wife...I AM the wife.
My husband was drunk when he proposed. It was sweet. He did get down on one knee though. Also, I already had my wedding set. It was my grandma's, and it was my mom's first wedding set. She and my dad replaced it later.
It's perfect. White gold, not overly large diamonds (so not flashy), and almost 80 years old. Perfect.

I remember when my husband did.....No ring though,,,He just got back from deer hunting,lol..and said huh you want to get married,,we were only 17 years old..lol...I happen to be married still to the same man and I am 40 now...

Yes, it was red and smiling.
Thing is though I don't make much and it was a very modest ring, I'm saving up secretly to get her a new wedding ring.
