"Dogs were created to be our companions. What do you think they were created for?You are so wrong. Its people like you that abuse their animals.Thats just my opinion."

This was an answer to a ? about dogs living outdoors. I shudder when I realize there really are people out there that have NO CLUE about animals. Dogs as we know them weren't created at all, the wolf or "ancestral dog" was, and man selected genetic defects he liked and developed the different breeds we know today. Scientific proof is availiable all over the internet and in every public library.

So why is this a problem?

Well, it is generalization and lack of understanding that leads to behavior problems, which leads to owner surrenders and "dumping" as well as animal attacks that inspire BSL.

I got married when I was 17. My grandmother had temporary custody of me when she signed the papers. My father had complete custody of me but was letting me live with her for awhile. He did not give consent, my grandmother did. Is my marriage legal? I hope its not. But I wanted to know for sure.

There were a hundred and five named smurfs and only five named snorks--there was no such thing as a clockwork snork, and the smurfs had no comparable character to either Tooter or Ocky--the Smurfs were a giant family, while the snorks were four kids hanging out after school--obviously Snorkianity and Smurfiism are two VERY different religions--why can't you see that?

In order not to confuse our current domestic monetary crisis with the economic woes of George Bush I's presidency, I hereby decree that George W. Bush's recession ought to be termed:

"The Wecession"

It has a nice Elmer Fudd ring to it and denotes, W's accolades with all things economic.

I have a house I sold in GA. There was a small amount I received as seller's proceeds. The laywer who performed the closing sent me the check which I deposited in the ATM Friday night. This morning I receive an email (not even a call or proper grammar email) from the closing lawyer informing me that he stopped payment on the check, "DO NOT DEPOSIT" because the mortgage compnay did not include a prepayment fee in the payoff. My bank can't do anything until it is returned stop payment, then I get a $32 fee. Is this right? The closing documents all state I should have gotten the full amount, now he is changing it. Is there anything I can do, or am I screwed?

John 20:19–23 "On the evening of that day.. ..Jesus said to [the apostles] again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you... ..If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained."

Did you know that this is just one of the Scriptual reasons for the authority of priests/bishops to forgive sins in the name of Christ? Christ, here, has given this authority to the apostles. This authority was handed down through Apostolic Succession. Notice how in verse 21 Jesus says, "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." In other words, Jesus is giving his apostles the same authority that he received from his Father. Now what authority did Jesus receive from God the Father? We see earlier, in Mark 2:10, that he had the authority to forgive sins. Jesus brought the power of forgiveness from heaven to earth. So now, in John 20:21, he is giving that same authority to his apostles. Very Biblical.

very nice thing to do?It is good luck to kiss under the mistletoe. It is bad luck to deliberately to avoid doing this.

Take three leaves of holly and on them prick the initials of three of your admirers. On Christmas Eve place the leaves under your pillow, and it is said that the one whom you will marry will appear to you in a dream.

Sew nine holly-leaves on to your nighttime clothing, borrow a wedding ring and place it on the third finger of your left hand, and then go to bed. During the night, your future husband will appear to you in a vision.

Make a chain of holly, mistletoe and juniper, and tie an acorn between each link. You need to have 2 other girls to assist you. At midnight on Christmas Eve the 3 of you must go into a room where a fire is lit, lock the door, hang the key over the mantelpiece and open the window wide. Then wrap the chain, which you have made around a log and sprinkle it with oil, a few pinches of salt and some earth. The log and chain must be placed on the fire and all lights turned out. Each girl sits around the fire with a prayer-book upon her knees, opened at the marriage service. As soon as the chain has been burnt, it is said that each girl will see the vision of her future husband crossing the room. If such a vision does not appear to a girl, she will never marry; or if she sees a phantom, such as a skeleton, which causes fear, it is also taken to be a sign that she will remain a spinster.

Tie a sprig of holly to each leg of your bedstead, and before you go to bed eat a roasted apple. Your future partner in marriage will come and speak to you in your dreams.

The yule log should be lit by a piece of the log used on the previous Christmas. Once that is done, no evil spirit can then enter into the house. The remains of the Yule log were also considered lucky, and would be a protection against lightning or fire.

Was Mary conceived without sin? YES. This is believed by the Catholics, the Eastern Orthodox, the Coptics - in fact the only Christians who DON'T believe it are that vocal minority of Christians, the protestants, who have only been around 500 of the 2000 years of Christianity.

When discussing the Immaculate Conception, an implicit reference may be found in the angel’s greeting to Mary. The angel Gabriel said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28). The phrase "full of grace" is a translation of the Greek word kecharitomene. It therefore expresses a characteristic quality of Mary.

The traditional translation, "full of grace," is better than the one found in many recent versions of the New Testament, which give something along the lines of "highly favored daughter." Mary was indeed a highly favored daughter of God, but the Greek implies more than that (and it never mentions the word for "daughter").
