My Favourite plant is a small hydrangea, which is not a particularly beautiful plant, however it is the only plant in the garden that remebered my birthday, and if i asked to lend a fiver i am confident it would, the other plants in the garden dont talk to me much either, they seem to have their own agenda, and much as i try to make friends with them all, the hydrangea seems to be the only one who has made any concious effort

I had a yellow flowering maple on my back porch this summer that I adored.
It's too cold for it now and I don't get enough light for it inside.
We are suffering through an extreme drought in my part of the country so not much did well this past season except for the plants I had in pots on the porch.

My Gopher Spurge :)
There were 4 in the "free" section of the gardening store, they all looked like they were dying. They were much smaller so I took 2.
One of them ended up dying all together, but the other one took real well to its' pot. It is now over 5'7 and still growing. :) Its' leaves are starting to shrivel up and move downwards, but it's still beautiful :)
Edit:: I thought it was funny lol, how on the tag is said '2 foot 5' and now it's '5 foot 7'. Lol.

Sunflowers. They're big and cheery and very easy to grow. And in the winter small birds really appreciate the seeds. As the plants are so tall, birds can feed safely, without worrying about my neighbour's cats. They look scruffy as anything right now, but I don't really care.

My forest flame shrub. I bought it for £4.99 13 yrs ago as a little pot plant.
It now stands 4 feet high & is my pride and joy.
Plants of this size sell for £75 in garden centres!

Black and Blue Salvia. They bloom in the summer, and keep blooming until frost. Butterflies and hummingbirds love them, they are a true blue color, and are easy to pinch back so they stay in bloom. You can keep them short early in the season so they bloom sort later in the season - which means you can put them in the back or the front of a border bed.

I have a jasmine bush in my garden and it smells heavenly at nights.

It is like a fragrance from 1001 nights of Scheherazade :)

I love roses. Just love their perfumes, the heavier the better, the colours, red's a particular favourite, and they look elegant, when kept in shape of course
