the marriage is legal but the age is a good reason for the divorce now or possibly an annulment if a guardian had to sign the marriage license in your state because your grandmother didn't have legal custody even though you were living there temporarily. Once you get out of this, give yourself time to grow into who you are going to be in a couple of years and when you do get married seriously, it will be a better marriage. Good Luck.

It depends on jurisdiction and it also depends on the facts. From what I gather here, your gramma had temp consent which probably limited her power as a guardian. She could still feed and clothe you and set your curfew, but she, likely per the agreement, was not granted things such as consent to marry. However, if it was the case that your gramma, while having only temp custody on paper, was more of a custodian than your father, you have a case that your gramma constructively had complete custody of you, therefore, her consent was valid. Moreover, if yours is a jurisdiction that allows marriage at 17 w/out consent, you are good.
The worse case scenario is the consent was bad, making the marriage technically invalid. You should be able make the marriage valid by affirming it with your local probate office. That will make the marriage legit. Consult the jurisdiction you got married in first and then see what your options are.

I think your marriage probably is legal, however I'd call and attorney on the telephone and see if you can get some free legal advice. If your father was your legal guardian and he didn't sign, I don't think it was exactly legal for Grandma to sign for you as she was not technically your legal guardian. There's a possibility that you are not technically legally married if this was challenged. Check it out and good luck, Loretta

Take responsability for your own actions, If you blew it by marrying as a teen, then be an adult and get a divorce. If she had temporary custudy at the time and gave consent, you r marriage is legal.
You are running out of excuses for continuing being irresponsible.
I guess all that rush wasn't worth it, was it?
Good luck

If you were granted a marriage license, you got married legally. They don't just hand those things out to anyone.

You have a very good case to have your marriage annulled. You need to see an attorney. People in Yahoo can not be your attorney, can not go with you to court. See an attorney.
