Hello.

I'm selling my used item on the website (similar to ebay, but the website does not have any responsiblity), and company's agent contacted me that their client wants to buy my item by paying a check.

They don't tell me who their client is, and their client's address is unknown. Moreover, I just accepted it, and they sent a check to me about 2 days ago. In addition, they will give me the shipping address by email as I receive their payment.

It looks alright, but is it really reliable and safe?

I haven't seen a company that works as a used item agent, and that is why I worry about it.

Last night I heard a latin/salsa arrangement of "Jingle Bells" on the radio -- well, I heard the 45 seconds or so that I could stand.

Do we really need to endure such assaults on traditional music? Seriously, this beast was not clever or witty -- it was "down 'n dirty" latino overload, and quite wretchedly so.

"Jingle Bells" is about snow -- should we really be subjected to conjured images of sweaty dancers in cha-cha heels whipping their jungle-red skirts around and quite possibly flashing matching panties at the audience?

Why can't Christmas just be simple and calm and delightfully un-hip? Shouldn't Santa's exclamations of "ho ho ho" be spared from having double entendres attached to it?

I've heard about this whole phenomenon about 12/21/12 and at a first glance, I was a little stirred up because, well, thats my 21st B-Day. My whole family has been seeing 11:11 everywhere! Even 2 days ago, this guy sitting near me in 3rd period just out of nowhere blurted out: "2007: Population, 6 Billion. 2012: Population, one." What is your opinion? I don't want to believe it, but if its true, I'd have to celebrate my 21st birthday as also, the end of my life! I'm a Christian, but this little controversy has been making me have doubts about my religion.

I would like to get my sister a subscription to a cooking magazine for Christmas. She LOVES to cook and is very good at it - so the recipes don't have to be super easy or anything. I just bought 3 of these and want to know a little about:

1. How deep to drop them in the ground?
2. Do I need to plant them near anything (so they'll climb)? I read that they'll climb, but I don't prefer that.
3. Assuming I plant them alone, will they hang and not break?

I just finalized the paperwork on getting a 2 bdrm/2bath apartment and need to start looking for a roommate that can move in with me, once I get the keys. The apartment is pretty nice, and it will be A LOT cheaper than renting by myself, plus the living quarters are twice as big, and I won't have to come home to an silent/lonely place anymore either. My problem is...finding a good roommate is harder than I expected! I don't know anyone that's looking for a place, that I can actually trust. I'm thinking about posting an add....say on craigslist or roommates.com . I will only live with another female, around my age. And of course I'd have her sign all the necessary documents, ensuring that rent is paid and protecting my butt from everything else that may happen. My question is...is it a bad idea to post an add for a roommate, because essentially this person is a stranger? I'm a little nervouse about it, but I don't have any other options.

Any ideas/opinions/suggestions?? Thanks!
