Little Johnny was walking past mum and dads bedroom to get a glass of water. He hears moaning and groaning coming from the room and takes a peek.
Sure enough mum and dad are busy. Little Johnny jumps onto his dads back and shouts ''Weeeee, horsie ride.''
Dad not wanting to lose his stride, keeps on going.
A while later mum starts to moan and groan loudly and writhe around.
Little Johnny ''Watch out dad. This is the part where me and the milkman normaly get thrown off.''

I've been reading a lot about Leopard Geckos and Box Turtles lately and I'm planning on getting one or the other. (I'm not sure which one yet.) One of my big questions is: Which are more personable? By this I guess I mean wich is more likely to recognize you from other people and "bond"? (Of course, not in the way a dog bonds with a person, but you get the idea. Of course I don't expect my gecko or turtle to come up to me wagging it's tail whenever it sees me.) Also, Is it better to hibernate Eastern Box Turtles or is it better to take them inside during the winter?
Do you *have* to feed Leopard Geckos spiders and pinky mice? The spiders I can get used to, but the pinky mice...I'm not sure. I know that the geckos have to have a variety of insects, but I'm just wondering about those 2.

And my last question is: Do any of you own either one of these or both? Which one do you think is the better pet?

I am scheduled for a labor induction on December 7th, 3 days before my due date. (It also happens to be my birthday, haha.) My OB/GYN decided on this course of action because I have gestational diabetes.

What should I expect when I get to the hospital? I'm being given Pitocin. Could anyone walk me through their experiences with Pitocin and induction? Thanks!

I haven't celebrated Christmas since I was a child, really. I had a lot of bad experiences, and that, combined with religous reasons and dislike of commercialism led me just to not do it for years. This year, my boyfriend, who knows about all this, has taken it upon himself to make sure I have a great experience, and some positive memories. We are going to his mother's house, and she is making up a true feast for the occasion, with family, traditions, etc. I am pretty sure it would be appropriate to bring her a gift, but what? I am a little nervous on how to conduct myself, as I haven't done this in years! I also told him that he didn't have to get me anything, but I was told that he was going to, anyway. If that is the case, I want to get him a gift as well. Should that be something we do at home before the festivities, or at his mom's? I am confused on the ettiquette of this.

I got tired of the religious zealots who tell me how to live my life yet live theirs in so-called sin long ago. I now vote against anyone who supports the Religious Right in any way.

I will gladly continue to vote for a straight Democratic Party ticket.

My husband and I have been discussing baby names and considering we like names that aren't common or just unique were thinking of combining some names together. Like for example: My husband likes the name Cheyanne and I like the name Savannah so we combined those together and got Shyannah/Cheyanna. Get the idea? I know that some people think that giving a child a uncommon/unique name is cruel but I beg to differ. My name is Valerie and when I was growing up and going to school my name wasn't very common and there was only one Valerie in my school. Here are some names that we like. These are all girl names. You can use a name thats not on this list if you would like.

Ava
Bianca
Cadence
Calista
Elise
Emma
Hayley
Hannah
Hope
Jacey
Kaylee
Leanne
Olivia
Shaylee
Lynn

I thought about trying to combine my name and my husband's name but I can't seem to come up with anything. Any ideas?

My name is Valerie Lynn and my husband's name is Gerald Donald

Mum to one lovely little 3 year old girl. Anyway, she has a severe skin condition and so is registered as disabled and is on an intensive evening/day treatment programme. I am her registered carer.

Since she was born my sister has never be of any pragmatic help - no-one has. I don't expect any medals, as any good parent knows you adore your kids and so get on with it.

The problem is my sister is so snippy at me - she thinks that being a stay at home Mum, without a partner and help is easy. She for example tonight when I said I had not had a great weekend as I was really ill (not that you can call in sick being a Mum! Just meant really long days...) and I said that I feel tired as I have not had a day off for 3 years.

At this comment she said that you don't get a day off having a child (I know that I just mean that since all the sleepless nights etc etc I have never had an evening/night/day break so feel worn out) that children are a lifestyle choice and that paid work
