Mental illness is not like other illnesses in that there is no blood test, there is no sure way to say someone has it or doesn't. The treatment is usually some sort of medicine that doctors say they don't know alot about.

Docs say that the meds for mental illness haven't had enough study time, and taht the results are all muddled up. A personality test just tells you what a person may possibly be like in real life. Can a person be ill because of their unique personality or is it all just a sham? Can anyone here please point to credible scientific evidence that mental illness is real and that psych meds either work or don't? Why do they work, why don't they work?

What are the bio and chemical relationships to everthing in the brain & body?

I have (in my opinion) the best b/f a girl can have. He is smart, good looking, loyal, caring, ect... I love him to death but he has the WORST breath. I don't even like kissing him because of it. I know he brushes his teeth daily (he doesnt floss tho). I have hinted to him before that it smells in subtle ways hoping he would start paying more attention but ...nothing. How do i deal w/ this? has this ever happened to any1 else? He is a great guy and i dont want to hurt his feelings... but i cant handle being close to his face sometimes.

I mean if Bush et. all were wiling to lie about 911 to start a war in Iraq which had nothing to do with 911, though they said it did, then they said it didn't then it didn't when they said it did, but it did when they said it didn't.....uhhhg

if they were willing to lie about all that, do you think they were willing to lie about a lesser issue regarding Valerie Plame? or is that just too little a issue to lie about? And were honest regarding leaking her name?

"There was one problem. It was not true."
"I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff, and the president himself."

If we implement expansionary or contractionary policies to help balance the budget, this could fuel an overheated economy, or move our economy away further from potential output. So should we accept deficit as a normal thing to happen? Or should we make balancing the budget our main goal? What do you think is more important?

HE SITS ON THE DAMN THING FOR AT LEAST EIGHT HOURS A DAY!!!!!!!!! I leave for work at 2, I come home at 10, SAME SPOT, same laundry, same dishes, same mess in the room, same everything!! We have a baby girl who's 11 months and I KNOW he just ignores her and sits on the computer. He is leaving for basic training in a couple of months so you think he would spend more time with her! It's gotten to the point that I want to quit my job so I can be at home with her to ensure she is getting the attention and love she deserves!
No, he does not work! No, he will NOT do any housework! And if he does one thing, he brings it up for the rest of the week, even if it's just putting the damn clothes I WASHED in the dryer, not even folding them..
Should I take the risk of him f-cking DIVORCING me and throw all his game discs out the window and set a timer thing for Warcraft so he can only play for an hour a day? He will be so pissed, but I don't know what else to do!

This is a totally hypothetical question.

My mom broke her bones 4 times. I never broke a bone. But I asked her what it felt like. She never answered cause she couldn't explain it or put into words. Yet, she makes pizza with a broken arm (in a cast.) so Im guessing it doesn't hurt THAT much.

But I imagine having a broken bone hurts like ALOT.

A few of my friends said they had it and it did hurt. But afterwards, they talk about it like, meh. It wasn't too bad.

I have done research on the net, and there are some people whom ahve broken their bones like 10 times and brag about it.

So, my question is....if someone breaks their bone. Do painkillers have any effect in nullifying or eliminating the pain?
And how effective is the painkiller in removing the pain? By how much? 50%? 20%? 70%? Some people claim that the painkillers don't work very much. And some people claim they felt barely any pain. Alot of people I know bragged that they had broken bones and didn't feel any pain.

No cheap bulbs here. The circuit that runs from my kitchen to the laundry keeps blowing out. Bulbs last max 3 months, even the long life ones. I recently had to replace a light fixture and noted the old fixture wasn't earthed correctly (screw was hitting wire casing, but not connecting). Could this lack of earth be the cause? It only appears to be this circuit as well, everything else in the house is fine. Electrician is the obvious solution, but their is a shortage of service this time of year - December 22 is the date I have one booked. Any help now is appreciated.
