For my religion final, I have to write and talk about a Catholic scholar/servant/saint/disciple of the church. There's so many people to choose from! Does anyone have any ideas?

Some restrictions
- the person must be Catholic
- can't be Mother Teresa or Pope John Paul II (people in my class already have those)
- there has to be a book written about them, like a biography

Please help! I'm open to all ideas.

Is it true that Joseph translated the book of mormon out of a hat? Is it true that when the rich man who wrote it down for him "mis placed" the scripts that joseph couldn't get them back. Why is that? If he had the plates then why couldn't he just re read them? I don't understand...

I'm not trying to offend anyone, i'm just truely curious.

Three Guys Go to Heaven

Three guys die and end up at the gates of heaven, talking to St. Peter.
"So," Peter asks the first guy, "how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"None. I had a perfect marriage."

"Great," says Peter. "You get to cruise around heaven in a Mercedes. And you, how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"Only twice, I think," says the second guy.

"Okay. You get to cruise around heaven in a Cadillac. And you, how many times did you cheat on your wife?"

"12 times. Maybe 13," says the third guy.

"Okay," says Peter. "You get a rusty Ford."

Later that day, the guy in the Cadillac sees the guy in the Mercedes crying.

"What's wrong?"

"I just saw my wife."

"So?"

"She was riding a skateboard."

whats worse? possessing pot (many have been in possession of a distributable amount and was sentenced to live in prison without parole but most murders serve an average of 6-8 years?

also if you commit murder in California some people get away with as little as 3.3 years but if you are caught growin pot for a medical user by the dea you may be givin life without parole?

When my husband and I met, I was very thin. Too thin, really. As I straightened out my life (kicked drugs and alcohol, developed better eating habits) I gained weight and got to a normal size. Then I had my second child and he's 10 months now...I still have a good bit of my baby weight.

I look at pictures from now, and pictures from before we were married and think I look much better thinner. HOWEVER, my husband insists that he loves me best this way and that he doesn't think I should lose any weight.

I'm not obese or unhealthy at all, but when looking back at old pictures, I get kind of sad and wish I was back in the size 4's again....I even still have my old clothes saved in storage! But then when my husband tells me he loves the way I look now, I question that. It's hard because I felt I looked better then, but it's also a huge ego booster for my husband to tell me he thinks I'm sexiest the way I am.

What would you do in this situation?

A guy walks into a bar and sits on a stool. in front of him he see's a big jar full of change and a little card that reads:
Hello, if you would like to win all of this money you have to make the horse at the end of the bar laugh.
COST $5
So, he puts in five dollars and takes the horse into the bathroom. Two minutes later they come out and the horse is laughing so hard that he pissed on the floor. So the guy takes the money and leaves.
The next day the same guy walks in the bar again and see's the horse and the jar, this time it says:
You can win all of this if you make the horse cry.
COST $10
So he puts in 10 dollars and takes the horse into the bathroom. Four minutes later they come out and the horse is crying like no body ever had.
So the guy takes the jar but before he could leave the bartender asks "How did you do that?"
The guy says "The first time I told him my dick was bigger than his and the second time I showed him!"

It can't be for reasons of community or any other reasons that humans do since fish do not reciprocate and the dolphins would learn quite quickly that that is the case. Dolphins are still hunted by humans in parts of the world. Yet they routinely protect and fend off sharks. Sharks have been shown to leave bloody meat alone in the presence of dolphins.

So what evolutionary reason would explain it? They seem to take the caretaker role of the ocean. What benefit could they possibly get from risking their lives for fish or humans that they don't eat and get absolutely nothing in return from?

My 4 year-old has had a cold since Wednesday or Thursday. He is feeling better but still coughing a little bit & has a runny nose. When would it be ok to send him back to preschool? BTW, I would not make him go if he was feeling sick or would be contagious to others.
