Normal enough, because its natural to get excited about something your enthusiastic for. It's abnormal when that behavior leads to mood swings or violence and depression if said team doesn't win. Being a little bummed out if okay, but extreme emotions toward winning and losing are not.

It's ok for the first four or so scores. Once the game becomes ugly, it's very un-classy and immature to dance if they score a touchdown up 42-0 to take a 49-0 lead...

"Normal" is relative to cultural attitudes/expectations or what is common. I will call it normal behavior because so many do it, but I will also call it wrong. I think they live vicariously through sports. If a person loves sports and loves the game, then why not enjoy it and watch it? But, why does it matter who wins except in the presence of pride in one's community, state, country etc.? However, if the Vols wins it shows no credit to the state by showing how the state is better in any way. One can be proud that their state won the game but it is irrational to think that says anything about Tennessee. So I don't get it. I think it shows poor rational or cognitive abilities in the person who partakes in such emotional reaction over a game that they are not even involved in.
Go out and live life. Don't watch it on T.V.

Oh man, I have to admit that my dad is famous for that whenever the Steelers score or our local college football team scores.
It is pretty normal to get excited maybe even a cheer or two and a high five to the persons near you, but when you precede to jump out of the chair, sing and dance around and jump around, I think that is taking it too far.
It's quite embarrassing every time my dad does it, the whole family just says "Ahh, sit down!!"

That's not abnormal at all. Men who do that are really into football & that's not a crime. You don't draw a line. Let them have their fun. What's it hurting? If your other half is with you, doing this, just remember, he could be in a bar dancing.

I thinks it's harmless and kind of adorable. It's the only time guys are allowed to show their more emotional side. This is important in creating bonds without being "too sensitive" around the guys. I'm not sure where to draw the line.

i think its funny. they're expressing their passion for the beautiful game of football. completely normal. think how you would react if you were invited to go to see the Oprah Winfrey show and it turned out to be Oprah's favorite things day and u went home with a car. u would probably be doing the happy dance as well. but to tell u where to draw the line, if it lasts more than like 10 minutes i would maybe let him know.

Okay so this is so funny to me because I laugh at my husband when he does all that!
If we have people over for the first time my hubby knows that he has to tone it down until they start dancing around the room like fools but if it is just us and close family or friends I say go for it. It is cute to see my husband so excited :D

Ballgowns are not in order, but a little aeronbic activity between plays can help reduce chances of couch-potato blood clots. Silly, yes: abnormal, no.

Its only natural.
We no longer have our 'hunting pack' and seek victory or such. No coincidence that ball games started flying off as agriculture became the main way to get food VS hunting.
