Speech Code of the Month at the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education at www.thefire.org:

Saginaw State University forbids the telling of any jokes that may involve "race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital or familial status, color, height, weight, handicap or disability."

The students had better be careful about when they smile, too, just to be safe.

Or maybe best not to smile at all.

Do you think 30 is an old age for a woman? Are men attracted to older women? I am in a relationship, have been for 10 years. He says I am past my prime. Is he right? I don't think just because i just turned 30 that that makes me old! I still look good, so why do I feel so old?

I have been dating my boyfriend for about a month and a half now - we have been together 2 weeks "officially". He has lots going for him, but as shallow as it sounds, I am the better looking person in the relationship and many people have asked me what I'm doing with someone who looks like him when I look the way I do.
I don't listen to others, I make decisions for myself on who I do and don't date. However, I DO agree. It's actually starting to get to me that I am quite a bit better looking. This must sound so shallow (especially coming from a 22 year old), but I don't know if it would be wrong of me to continue to date him when I really don't have any physical attraction (there is some level of sexual attraction though). I am wondering if this is going to catch up with me and be a problem down the road. Can someone please offer me some advice? Thanks!

I'm 5'4" and 105lbs. I am not anorexic. I am not bullemic. Never have been. I can out-eat any man I know...most of the time. My mother is tiny, my father is medium build. Out of 6 kids, I was the runt.
Why do people always hate on me and talk sh*t just because I'm a size 0?

when you have gotten your way, income above $250k is taxed at 70-80%, and the rich CONTINUE to distance themselves from the poor, simply because they continue to do the things that make them rich, while the poor continue to do things that make them poor?

Will you continue your class warfare quest, screeching from every forum that income inequality is out of control, and that the rich are not paying "their fair share" of taxes?

There seems to be a great deal of misunderstanding, or even downright ignorance, of what the word "theory" means when scientists talk about the Theory of Evolution. It might explain why so many Christians are so unjustifiably dismissive of evolution when they describe it as "just a theory". As someone much wiser than myself once put it, "Words mean things"; and before we can have any meaningful discussion, we must first make sure we're speaking the same language.

So, how about it? Are you up to snuff on your basic scientific terminology?

Reptiles have been around for millions of years, but they're cold-blooded and don't do well in cold temperatures, which is why you find them commonly in Africa and Australia, but less commonly in Canada and Norway! So, my question is how did they manage to survive throughout the Ice Age? Obviously they did, because we still have snakes, crocodiles and lizards all still around.
