Frontline, Advantage, Revolution or Advocate. These can all be used on cats from 8 weeks of age - if you have kittens that are younger, they can only have Frontline Spray - this can be used on kittens from 2 days of age and is the only safe thing that works on cats that young.

I'm quite sure people on here will tell you to bath the fleas off the kitten - don't bath, it's a waste of time.

Medication from the vet such as Revolution or Frontline.

Don't ever use any product you can buy in the store. They are dangerous to your pet and their is no government regulations in the pet industry. The companies that make these products are happy in the animals lives more often than dies (happens a lot, especially with Hartz products.

Use a treatment from the vet and a flea comb to brush out the cats.

Fleas are so easily identified that you probably won't need an appointment with the vet, or just one cat examined would be fine to get the medication to treat all the animals. With kittens, you especially need a vet to prescribed the treatment since they are limited in what they can take. I know I couldn't give my male Revolution until he was about 5 months old.

Front line is the best as far systemically, expensive but it works.....if you have a flea problem now however, you may have to bomb/spray your house. Even if your cat has Frontline on, or a collar, the flea's live in your house continuing to bite your cat over and over, falling off and dying after the bite, ohhh but they breed like wild fire~! So, do it thoroughly, ....here in the Northeast, the little buggers have a tendency to come into our warm homes! If you want to help your cat temporarily, give it a bath with good old Baby Shampoo. This immediately kills the fleas, I know because my cousin is a professional breeder.

The vet can give you drops for them, they work much better than the ones you get at the store, there are flea shampoos available, but if you use one, make sure it's NOT for dogs, it'll say on the package if you can use it on cats and kittens, but a lot of them are toxic to cats and WILL KILL THEM! Over all I'd say the vet is your best choice.

to get rid of them initially, take them to a vet. seriously. don't use the stuff you can buy at any store. it's cheaper for a reason - can cause seizures!

the vet can give them a pill to kill everything on it at that time. or they can use professional products to bathe them with that will kill them.

for long term prevention, use frontline or some other product. your vet can recommend dosage for kittens, and what brand will be safest.

if they're indoor cats, clean their bedding, and vacuum the house every day for 2 weeks. this ensures that any eggs hatching in the carpet will be removed. or if you prefer, you can have the house sprayed but i wouldn't recommend it with kittens in the house.

FRONTLINE SPRAY can be used on kittens from 2 days old it also can be used on pregnant and nursing queens ..you will need to let the spray dry first before you put the kitten back with its Mum .You will need to let the spray dry before you put kitten/ s back with Mum if the queen licks the wet spray she could get diarrhea.
BUY from line from the vets or on line you do not need a prescription for it.
