I have been watching a lot of air crash investigations, and would like to know what it means when they say that an airline is committed to take off? Why can't they stop the plane before they take off? This happened with Concorde in France where it was on fire before it became airborne, but the pilot had to take off to land?

I want the best 13th b-day party ever. I have it all planed out. Ok, this is really wierd, Last night as i was cooking, my dog was playing with her toys, after a few minutes she was barking really loud and sounded angry, i went to see, she was looking at the isle way, I though that my flatmate was probably teasing her, but he was not at home, She kept barking as if she saw something or someone, I was surprized because she is a very lovely and playful dog she would NEVER bark at anyone. It felt strange, I felt as if someone was there. I hugged my dog and calmed her, but she kept looking there for a few seconds then she became quiet, but after that she followed me to the kitchen and sat right beside me in a position as if she was guarding me or something. It was raining, anyway, I freaked, but after sometime there was this strong wind, but after that I felt light, my dog went back to her toys and she seemed normal again. Am I overreacting, or was there really some kinda spirit or something, personally I never paid much interest to these things.

ok, please no pot jokes because this is very serious to me. I have been married for 9 yrs. and have 4 children w/ my husband. He was a habitual marijuana smokers since we met (and i did not know, i was 18 and dumb). He quit about 2 years ago for good. But now, he is doing it again. I have seen what a difference it makes in his personality. He is mean, jealous, vicious temper, unmotiviated and selfish when he does this. I do not want my kids around this as they get older, or even now. I have never smoked, drank, or did any drugs, so we are like night and day. He constantly lies about doing it, but all the signs are there, both in him, and actual concrete evidence. I feel like he is destroying our marriage and he thinks its a big joke. Am i blowing this out of porportion? I do not wantto be married to a pot head! i don't agree with this and i thin it is gross, as well as illegal.
