If you have boost maybe...

Otherwise, I think that's too wide and it would hurt your performance at lower RPMs due to low velocity.

There's a little on that here... http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/9912scc_intake_exhaust_systems/index.html

If you already have a high-performance exhaust system, it's just not worth spending any more messing with it. Gains from bolt-ons are minimal. Differences between different bolt-ons... extremely small. If you want real gains, adding boost, nitrous, or doing internal engine mods are the only ways.

Leave the headers you got and swap out the muffler for a flo thru resonator you will feel a kick ight of for low bucks. Also your motor has low compression so bigger pipe will not help.

really, exhaust does not make the car faster. it allows the engine to breath easier. the only way to get more power is to burn more
fuel. everything else we do to an engine allows us to do just that, burn more fuel in the same engine.
