I recently moved to Vancouver from Toronto and I notice how none of the signs here are bilingual. In Ontario, there were bilingual signs that were both English and French (directions east-est, etc.).

Is French less used out west?

The thing I don't understand is if a candidate wins the popular vote like in 2000, but doesn't get elected because he loses the electoral college, what is the point of voting? Does the popular vote mean anything? Which one determines who gets elected and why do we need 2 different ways to vote? This is driving me crazy and it is hard to find an answer online that can fully explain my question.

I've had a class with this girl for about 4 months and all her friends say she likes me,she laughs at everything I say, and she even invited me to a football game and I went and we had a great time!But when her friend asks her out for me she replied,"I want to get to know him better" is she still interested in me?I need some advise!

I'm writing a Sci-Fi book, and I need an example of a coma-inducing drug. I mean a REAL medical drug-nothing illegal, but rather, something that might be given at a hospital to a patient. that under "Society and Culture," along with Religion and Spirituality there's also a subsection for Bull Fighting. Shouldn't they move that to a sub-subsection of R&S? It might be more peaceful here. lol

I'm a female and i don't get what is the obsession of such huge purses. Yes you can carry more items...but do you really need to have everything you own with you at all times?

All i carry in my purse is my phone, a little makeup, some tissues...and depending on where i'm going a few more items.

Whom ever it is is answering some questions i ask but not all. My name seems like it is pre-formatted in to the correspondence like it is generic. It seems that some questions are about citizenship in America. That the Russian govt sponsors talent exchanges and this girl is awaiting paper work. They send me pictures of a girl. Very beautiful and her friends all pretty posing for the camera. Anyone know what the hidden agenda is. Or could it be real. Pessimist in waiting. Thanks Daz

Shouldn't you be more concerned with spreading your knowledge and sharing your opinion, and helping answer the questions people have about the world, or maybe just sharing a joke and a virtual smile with a stranger?

I am a single mother with 3 children my parents 52 and55 both just died 6 months apart from cancer they were a very happy couple and we were a close family . I know have the ability to do online billing but i do not have a computer and cannot affort one, I just had to rebuild my life, I want to work home with my kids because now i know how valuable the time you have with them is. I know i can be good at it and i would realy appreciate it if you could refer me to somewhere that will help finance me a comp. I do not have good credit accualy i have no real credit, because i took care of both of my parents for 3 years. please help
