... is written by pastors or priests, who obviously are supposed to have faith? And not by non-involved scientists?

While some other "beliefs" (I use this term loosely) - like astrology and ghosts - can enjoy constructive literature from scientists who don't believe as well as "believers"?

(and yes, there *is* constructive literature about both those topics...)

Forgive my seeming naivity, but I am trying to make a point.

A prayer is asking Gods to intervene in your life, personally communicating with Gods regarding things you cannot achieve yourself. A prayer can be for help, guidance, protection, intercession, thanks etc. However the point is that a prayer is relying on the power of Gods to affect and make changes in your life.

A spell is a set of words, incantation or formula with magical potency. A spell is using the magical power possessed within the wizard or witch to bring about the change or desired effect. Magic comes from within so there is no need to appeal to Gods in order to practice magic; cast spells.

I myself am religious, I know that there is not a spell for everything and sometimes must rely on The Gods to provide, however that does not mean that all wizards are religious. Prayers are religious and spells are magical. The only similarity I see is that prayers & spells can be used for varying reasons.

Why then are they seen as being similar when there are clear differences?

We leave many things unfinished in our
lives when we die
things that make God's angels sigh
Words of love we never did express
kissing our children more not less
Telling our family how much we appreciate them
always being there
loving us enough to care
Taking for granted the air we breathed so free
stealing the warmth of the sun so selfishly
Once we've departed it's too late to have shared
in the lives of the ones who truly cared
Memories of us left behind, happy or sad
Change things now and don't leave anyone mad
Never go to sleep with anger on your mind
be extremely kind
Never let your child go to sleep
without a hug, a kiss
That feeling they should never miss
Thank God for the miracle of life
Buy flowers for your husband or wife
Remember when you start each day anew
the pages of your life are silently waiting to be
filled by you
with either deeds of kindness
meaness, love or hate
It's up to you how you fill your book
just don't wait until it's too late

I want to know the problem with my husband. Has he totally lost it?

He has recently become exceedingly over-protective, stupidly jealous and very intefering. HE asks me a thousand times the whole bio of my male friends when I go to meet them. He insits on taking me out all the time, even when I don't want to [i mean hey, u can't stay out all day long], he will share everything ... which is ok. But he expects me to do the same. I mean isn't it my wish as to what I share? He keeps calling when I am late, even though I already told him I would be late.

I don't give him any directions, only advices and I don't mind if he doesn't follow them. Coz I believe everyone has their own reasning and independence. I don't query abt his female friends, I don't nag him to be home more often. And I expect the same space, freedom, privacy and the right to make my own decisions.

HE KNEW THESE THINGS BEFORE HE MARRIED ME. SO WHY IS HE ACTING SO STUPID AFTER MARRIAGE. I FEEL SUFFOCATED. ARGH ...
