... is written by pastors or priests, who obviously are supposed to have faith? And not by non-involved scientists?
While some other "beliefs" (I use this term loosely) - like astrology and ghosts - can enjoy constructive literature from scientists who don't believe as well as "believers"?
(and yes, there *is* constructive literature about both those topics...)
Forgive my seeming naivity, but I am trying to make a point.

My point is, btw, that no outsider has ever constructively critisised christianity, although the other topics I've used as an example have recieved constructive critisism at some point in time.

My point is not that believes write both positive and negative literature on christianity.
My point is that non believers never write positive literature on christianity; only negative.

Hon you know my view on this. Religion is all fictional there in no reality to it. To me if there is zero evidence to support something then how can it be true. No matter how much faith someone has it does not give any credence to it's existence now does it. Anyone can start a religion all you need is some charisma and an ability to manipulate peoples minds which can be quiet easy just look at Hitler. Religion was made to control people through fear! Let's face it if you live in a time where science has not really developed and let's say there is an earthquake but since there is no way to explain it it falls under the act of god because no one knows any better. So the control comes by telling people that if they do anything that goes against what they say god wants then they will be punished! I mean how were they to know? But in a day and age where science has disproven so much that is in the bible it is all about ignorance now. I am sure more and more will come out in the following centuries about how fictional the bible really is. The one thing I will give to organized religion is that it is a great way to reduce the population of the world through war!!!

"And not by non-involved scientists?"
For the same reason that any constructive literature about science is written by scientists and not pastors or priests. You are begging the question with your phrasing. By definition, constructive literature is going to come from the people who know that area best: i.e. pastors/priest = religion, scientist = science.

C.S. Lewis was not a pastor or a priest. The head of the national genome project is a christian and he may or may not have written anything. I know he has been interviewed. I think, maybe, you just haven't searched hard enough.

Constructive means helpful. Would you want to read 'constructive' literature on baseball by a non-enthusiast? Unless it was a very funny satire.

Actually, there is more literature on Christianity both positive and negative from those who believe it and those who do not than any other topic in history.
So your point really does not exist.

I suppose no one can constructively criticise Christianity because God's foolishness is wiser than man's wisdom. Even when Christians were unbelievers before they received Christ, they might have tried to criticise Christianity but in vain. They ended up being touched by the love of God and decided to receive Jesus into their lives. The Bible says we were all like sheep gone astray. It is the love of God that brought us home to Himself.
