Did you work odd jobs as a kid? What was your first job?

I watched the neighbors dog and feed his fish and even boarded his giant snake. I mowed lawns. I bagged groceries. And I worked at a video store.

My first real job where I actually received a paycheck and started paying taxes was at the service desk of a a retail store.

I used to shovel snow, mow lawns and work in peoples gardens. My first real job was working at my moms store. My second job was at the hardware section of Walmart, mixing paint.

Shoveling snow in the Winter and raking leaves in the fall. Back then, some of my older neighbors would give us only 50 cents or some cookies, for raking 1 hour worth of leaves. We learned to stay away from those houses.

When I was 14 a small circus came to town and me and two friends worked setting up the bleachers and then taking them down again. It was so much fun. I can't remember what we were paid, but I can remember we were paid very good.

my dad got me a job where he worked (although i should have been at school) it was for two weeks one xmas a very month for them (they went bust) i was packing dead birds, frozen and fresh (im not squimish) and i earned 280 cash for 2 weeks work
(they probably went bust because of things like that,but i felt so grown up working, didnt realise how naughty it was at the time)

Watering some older ladies flowers...and I would also knock on older peoples doors when i was young and ask to take out their garbage!
