Hi - I am pretty fit for my age but find that my body is aching after eating certain acidic foods and also after exercising e.g. gardening. Can anyone tell me how to strengthen my muscles (I believe this takes the strain off joints)? Throughout my life I have been very strong compared with other girls and been able to e.g. open jars, lift heavy objects etc. I am trying to avoid such foods/drinks as tomatoes, oranges, wine, sugar, acidic foods, salicylates etc. I also make up alkalising water to drink throughout the day. I am quite active but am VERY disappointed to find my body just deteriorating!! I tried exercising on the floor a couple of days ago but ended up feeling sore and stiff 2 days later. HELP if you can, please. I am willing to put quite a bit of work into this but also want to be careful. I am a trained nurse and in the past have enjoyed such sports as squash, aerobics, jazz ballet but mainly only walking recently. Thanks.

I just took a test for my major yesterday and I am confident that I failed it. This class is taught once a quarter and is required for the major. On top of that, it may bring my GPA down to a level where I lose my scholarships.

I've looked at the positive and negative outcomes and I believe that suicide may be a viable solution to my coming problems. Any advice?

I've read that it's no longer possible to get the working holiday visa in person at high commission in London but does anyone know if it is possible to get it over the counter at the consulate in Manchester?
Or, is it not the worth the hassle? Does anyone know how long it's taking to process visa applications by post at the moment?

thanks.

Is it actually written in the Quran that women of Islam must wear the hijab? i've heard it only states to be modest.. and if that is true, then why don't men of Islam also have to cover up?

I've tried a few products marketed as 'book lights' and they don't seem to be particularly helpful for their purported use. I've tried the old clip on reflectors -- ones that you can vary the wattage yourself -- and they seem to work at least as good, and are more sturdy. Is there a truly good 'book light' that is easy to use, not cumbersome, and actually give you sufficient light so you can read for a couple of hours without trouble?

Who thinks there is just that one person out there who you are destined to be with? I figure there are over 6 billion people in the world, and of those, you are supposed to happy with just that one? I dont agree, I think you can live a happy life with any number of people as long as you are compatible. But I just wanted to hear some other opinions :)

I think it is a matter of tense; as in 'I presume she is married,' and 'I assumed she was married,'. Is this right?

Thanks.

I am considering buying a car and am slightly paranoid due to my lack of knowledge even though the guy I'm supposed to be buying it from is trustworthy. The car had a noisy clutch and a friend of mine says this means it has a problem with its clutch plate or cable and so wouldnt have passed the mot that it allegedly just has, he reckons that the mot certificate is dodgy and that I should report it. I was hoping that maybe someone could clear this matter up for me are there any MOT testers who can help?

Is there someone you would like to see come back on the show? I’d love to see Rex Sterling. I loved the storyline when he was just a bum on a park bench then Jill found him and cleaned him up and she had him pretend to be a rich millionaire courting Kay. Then eventually really falling in love with her. I thought he was just perfect for Katherine!

My wife answerd....well God is female and Satan is male cause Satan did something naughty that God got mad and put him in the dog house that is now hell.

I was once a christian baptist. Went to church on Sunday and all the good stuff. But, a few years later, I read on several other religions and lost my faith. Pretty much all religions with monotheism say that there is only one god, and in him, and only him, you can find salvation. This confused me.... I have no idea what to believe anymore. Believe in one religion, you are condemned by thousands of others. I really have no idea anymore... anyone wanna help clarify this for me?

The extra money paid to the lenders give nothing in return. They get a lot of money for nothing .It would be nice to know why this sort of thing is allowed to happen.
