what you believe is your choice and you will make that choice based on what you are looking for. When you were a Christian baptist, you obviously were not looking for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that is the whole point of being a Christian. Try to figure out what you were looking for then and why Christianity did not offer it. Are you still looking for what you couldn't find then? I used to be a buddhist because I was looking for an explanation of what the mind is and how it works, an understanding of human consciousness, techniques for stilling the mind and getting mental clarity. Buddhism worked really well for these things and when I was done, I realised I now wanted to know God and have a relationship with Him and became a Christian. The One True God can only be known through Christ but you can develop an understanding about God through any other faith/ religion -you just won't have a relationship with Him.
get a copy of the book A Course in Miracles from Amazon- it will help you figure out what you are looking for and from there you can decide where to find it.

the good thing is you already start to use your brain to think about it.
have you ever think that a lunatic person has a believe of G-d?
They do not know/understand G-d. Now Can you take a conclusion that G-d exist because you think it does.
OK, now take further step. All harmonic movement in the universe must have come from something. People start talking about big-bang. The point is either big bang or not there must be something Who Create, Manage all those things. You can start to call it G-D.
One, two or many G-Ds ? Simple, how many g-ds are exist out there, the Greatest, the Almighty, the Creator G-d is your G-d only only ONE.
Since you are with The Almighty then the rest will not harm you.
Let's give a name, what do you think if you call him to look cool with an ancient name such as,
Ya Hu Wa, or AL-KABIR, or AL-QUDUSH, or use the most popular one الله
peace

Belief in one God, Allah in Arabic, constitutes the very foundation of Islam. There is no deity except Allah. He is indivisible and absolutely transcendent. God is the Almighty, the Creator and the Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him.
The basic message of Islam is that God (Allah in Arabic) and His creation are distinctly different entities. Neither is Allah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him. This might seem obvious, but, man's worship of creation instead of the Creator is to a large degree based on ignorance of this concept. It is the belief that the essence of Allah is everywhere in His creation or that His divine being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation, though such worship may be called the worship of Allah through his creation.
However, the message of Islam as brought by the prophets of Allah is to worship only Allah and to avoid the worship of his creation either directly or indirectly
He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (Surah 112)
God is He, than Whom there is no other god;- Who knows (all things) both secret and open; He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. God is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to God! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.
He is God, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colors). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (59:22-24)

There is but one GOD who created eveything.
People have learned to call Him with different names, however, this does not change Who He is.
There is no need to argue about which name is greater, this will confuse you just as many are already confused today.
The Christian claims that their God is greater than the Muslim Allah and vice-versa. This are all products of the intellect which tries to redicule the other for selfish reasons.
The "true" teachings of Jesus and the "true" teachings of Prophet Mohammed as well as other messengers of God all accord with one another because they have all originated from God and His messengers were sent to different people at different places and times depending on their spiritual maturity at that time.
Unfortunately, after the death of God's messengers, their teachings were distorted by men for selfish reasons and that is why today they appear to be different.Rather they should have all led to the same Source Who have always granted us His Grace.
You dont need to belong to any religion. What you need is the Truth.Because before God you are a creature Whom He created without any religion.

How can it be possible that there is more than God of this universe. There is only one true Almighty God of this universe. He is the creator. If we don't recognize Him that is different. Either you or me may be wrong in recognizing Him. But He will remain the same and one.
If He has created you He will certainly listen you and give you guidance if you seek the truth with open mind and heart. So ask is help only. No body else can help you better than He.
Muslim believe in One God. Almighty God of you and me and God of all. God of all prophets---- God of Jesus and God of Mohammad(Peace be upon them all.) God bless you.
Edit__
Don't fear of condemnation by thouands and millions. Fear His condemnation only. If He is happy don't bother my or anybody else condemnation. I pray may God be happy with you.
Logic says that there should be only Law and ways for salvation. And that should be His Law only. If you are convinced that the path you are following leads to Him only forget me and any body else. That is the only way of salvation.

god (Allah)him self will answer you questions
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "(Allah) is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."
He sends down water from the skies, and the channels flow, each according to its measure: But the torrent bears away to foam that mounts up to the surface. Even so, from that (ore) which they heat in the fire, to make ornaments or utensils therewith, there is a scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by parables) show forth Truth and Vanity. For the scum disappears like froth cast out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables.

The Triune God of the Bible...Father, Son and Holy Spirit...is/are the one true God. You need to pray for God's guidance through His word in the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Don't let the noise of all the other religions blind you to not having faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is the only way to Salvation and the ONLY one who has an empty tomb...He is risen and conquered death for us all.

Jesus Christ is the greatest act of divine love this world has ever seen. Every other religion on earth has no promise of salvation by faith alone. It is a gift from God that we are saved by faith in Christ.
Every other religion is about working your way to heaven/paradise/Nirvana what have you.
The truth is that we are all sinners and can never be good enough to earn heaven, and we can never be righteous enough to deserve heaven. That is why God in His most loving mercy, gave us Jesus Christ, so that if we have Christ as our Savior, when we are judged, God sees the righteousness of Christ when He sees us, instead of our sins against Him. We are forgiven and made righteous on Christ's account, not our flawed, selfish and meager human ability to attempt to do good deeds.
If you have read about the other religions of the world, you should know what they require of a believer to achieve the end that the individual religions promise. None have at their core the absolute loving quality, the mercy and absolute goodness of God, and the personal relationship He wants with us in our daily lives. You will find many with aloof gods that are beyond our ability to know...or vague new age universalisms with no recognizable character.
Ask Christ for forgiveness and ask Him to show you the way He wants you to live. Faith in Christ is the assurance of Salvation according to the promise of Almighty God.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Take Care and God Bless!

Well, not that there is indeed evidence of a god, but if you want to believe in one, there is a whole selection of "one true gods", and none of those have any particular reason to be placed higher than another.
So I suggest seeing if any work for you personally, or just becoming agnostic. Of course, there are some extra options like pantheism (nature is God) and deism and the belief that all are manifestations of the real God.
Take your time, that is what I advise.

At the end of the day, you have to be the one to decide this for yourself. No one can ever answer this question, faith is a very, very personal thing. What you need to do is read up on various religions; Not just what they are about, but their various texts. Perhaps talk to a leader. Be very open minded.
And remember this: At the end of the day, the point of religion is make you a better, stronger person. Live your life with passion, with respect for others, and with love, and you cannot go wrong.
