I've read that it's no longer possible to get the working holiday visa in person at high commission in London but does anyone know if it is possible to get it over the counter at the consulate in Manchester?
Or, is it not the worth the hassle? Does anyone know how long it's taking to process visa applications by post at the moment?

thanks.

I have looked on the Australian immigration website but it doesn't specify whether the Manchester consulate is doing over the counter applications only that the London high commission no longer does.
hence my question....

A website called pomsinoz can help you directly - it's staffed and moderated by expat's in oz, or those awaiting visa clearance. The site is mostly for immigration, though they also deal with working holiday visas and should help you make sense of the immigration.gov stuff you have to trawl through.

You can find all visa information and all the appropriate forms on the Department of Immigration web page at http://www.immi.gov.au
Look there first.
