A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables; and when he picked up a CD player to place in his
sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you."

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.
When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables.
Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you."

Freaked out, he shined his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice.

Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot.

"Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you."

The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?"

"Moses," replied the bird.

"Moses?" the burglar laughed .. "What kind of people would name a bird Moses?"

"The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler Jesus."



Did you say that?" he hissed at the parrot.

"Yep," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you."

Shouldn't we all be agnostics? Nobody in today's world can be absolutely 100% certain. I believe strongly in my faith, but it's just that - faith. If there is not undisputable, unquestionable certain proof - wouldn't that make us all agnostics?

PS - I am a Christian, and am very involved in my church. This is just some "wild thinking." :-)

My dad has an old painting given to his mother by a friend around the 30's. I think the name is 'Pears', (I can't really understand the last letter but the name is in good condition), and the picture is in a custom frame so I don't want to take it apart to see if anything is underneath. It's a picture of two women, one sittinng, one standing, selling a chicken. If anyone has heard of this artist or if this sounds familiar please let me know. If it would help I can post a picture of it, so let me know.

im 20yrs old/les & i have a gf. my mother found out that i am a lesbiane and wants me to stay away from my gf before may father discover it. I'm still dependent with may parents. i'm confused & in distress becoz i want to be with my gf but may mother wants me to go abroad and forget about my gf and they already fixed my visa. i feel hopeless because I cant fight with what i feel and my gf thinks that i easily gave up with our relationship. i'm like torn between my parents and my gf.

Even scientists who believe in global warming are not happy about the exaggerated claims. Al Gore's movie had many of them. I see the same claims being repeated in answers here.

personally i think the reason they carry waepons it to feel protected and not cool.
i think stronger punishments should be implemented and better security to ensure that there is no need to carry weapons.

My wife and I have been pestered constantly with sales peoples and telemarketers this year and we're both finding it very frustrating. Sometimes I get scared as these people seem to say that I BETTER sign over to them or buy stuff. I worry for my wife as I'm not very mobile no more and it's not right that she should have to tell these people no, is there any way we can stop them harrasing us?

On friday we had a builder saying that our front porch would have to be redone as the tiles had all cracked up, he said the work was urgent. But my son says NOT to give him any money up front and just tell him no, I'm very scared though incase they do something.
