If the amoebas are microscopic, and they can eat away at the human brain without anyone knowing till it's too late, do they kill fish too? If this is the case, wouldn't we have found a decrease in the fish population as well? That would have been at least a sign that this killer amoeba has been roaming around in certain lakes.

Is there anyone on here that knows these things? I've been pulling myself away from the forensic magazines of mine, and have begun studying this. I can't seem to find anything on it except the news on the little boy who died on Sept 17th.

Any one who has any information would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter was friends with this boy since kindergarden. Then we moved to Canada, and out of nowhere he started calling her everyday. I didn't put too much into it- they both are after all only 11 yrs old. Then I checked her email(I do this regularly mostly to see what her dad , my ex- is writting to her) I saw all those emails back and forth with the boy, each one ending with I love you,Me too,and most disturbingly- I want to make out with you!! My daughter telling a boy she wants to make out?? What does she mean? How do I find out without pushing her away from me(she usually shares her crushes with me, but nothing about this one and I don't know how to proceed? Plus- she will see this boy when she goes to visit her dad,and I'm freaking out, cause in one of the mails the boy writes"I have a hiding place in my backyard" (to make out that is)
I know crushes are normal and they will fade, but to teach my daughter to deal with this properly I need to start acting now! HELP!!!

My two daughters came up with their sugar and cholesterol levels slightly high. Their weight is o.k. and everything else. They are 11 and 9 years old. The pediatrician told me to put them on a diet, but didn't give me any ideas. They've always been picky eaters since they were a year old, specially the youngest one. My older daughter has been modifying her eating habits very well. The younger one is my biggest problem when it comes to nutrition. I'm worried that there are not many options out there. Everything is so "sugary". I wanted to get recommendations, specially for breakfast, of beverages that I can give them to substitute the sugary juices and refreshments. They are good drinkers of water, though, but I don't want them to get bored. I've also read about the dangers of artificial sweeteners, and Stevia is so expensive. Please be considerate and don't make jokes about this. It is serious for me. I'm trying to reach those parents that understand.

Two days ago my dog refused food - I noticed that her tongue looked pale in color but she was acting fine. Her gums, eyes, and temp all seemed fine as well. Yesterday morning she refused food again and I came home to 4 piles of diarrhea on the floor. Today she finally ate and drank water normally again but the tongue is still pale. Does this signify anything in particular?

So I just got my status from Mass as per my Unemployment Insurance and my old company has me listed as a voluntary quit. I called and asked how they classify these things and the HR person got snitty with me and threatened me vaguely, that I didn't want them to change it and that I'd do best to leave it as voluntary quit due to a relocation if I wanted to get a good reference from them.

Well, Unemployment called today and I gave them all the particulars of my leaving. But now I'm worried that they'll call my old company and decide in my favor and as retaliation my old company will tell people I was terminated and give me a bad reference.

Is there any way I can just call Mass Unemployment and tell them it's not worth it to me? I need to be able to get a new job more than I need 6 months of UI and the HR department of my old job on a vendetta against me.

His doc says it is either his bladder isnt large enough and he needs to hold it before he goes, or that it is stress related. Well, I took him out of football to help with stress, and I make him wait a couple min b4 he goes, but nothing has changed? And suggestions? We have bed wetting issues often.

If you traveled back in time and killed your grandfather would you cease to exist in the future thereby creating a paradox of if you did not exist in the future how could you have traveled to the past and killed your grandfather. Or would it create a separate timeline one in which you existed and one you didnt. Or would it cause the utter destruction of the time/space continuity?
