My husband and I have a 12 month old and we are pregnant with one on the way. By the time the new one gets here do you think we will need a double stroller or is it a waist because my oldest is walking enough?

Definately get a double stroller, trying to push one in a stroller and chasing after the other one at the same time sucks. They have several different models, some are side by side and some are one behind the other. We were handed down a stroller that had a regular seat up front and a little step and fold down seat behind, just under the handle bar. it was nice because when our older one got tired she stood on the step and rode along, and if she was really tired she could sit on the little fold down seat. shop around, find what suits you, but definately get one!!

My kids didn't want to be in the stroller after they were 2 yrs old. It would be helpful to you for a short while I think. But when they become toddlers, they usually hate sitting in those things. They do sell the strollers that the older kid can kneel in. That could help and might be better than a regular double.

They also have these cool connectors that hook 2 umbrella strollers together.
Those little stands that hook on the back of strollers for bigger kids are great too. I use this thing called a Hip Hammock (from Toys R Us) for a 2yo, it claims to hold up to 35lbs, but at 35 lbs, in my book, they can walk. It is the best thing I've ever bought! The child sits at your hip very naturally while leaving your hands free to shop, eat or push a stroller. My S.O. also used it and he loved it.

You might still want to get one. It would be nice to have if you're walking for longer periods of time and your 1 year old gets tired. You can try finding a single stroller at a second hand store too. If you want both that's a better way so you're not spending so much money.

Depends on your lifestyle. I use my double jogger to jog my 2&3 year old to a park about 2 miles away. However, I would never want to take the 2 to a mall. We've also used it at the zoo and such, although you can always rent stuff there.

Before the youngest was big enough for the jogger, we'd also use a bjorn and single stroller alot. Or also a backpack.

I would get a double. Your toddler is not going to like having to walk while the baby gets pushed around in the stroller!
It is also convenient if you are out and both are sleepy!

yes because if you go somewhere and your 12 month old is getting really tired of walking than you could have her or him sitting in the stroller instead of complaining about how their tired of walking so much.

3 words. GET THE STROLLER. Your elder child will want to becarried or will be jealous that her sister gets to ride in the stroller
