I don't care for it. What about Melanie or Melody/Melodie~ not favorites of mine but definitely beats "Elodie".

What about these "E" names:
Elaine/Elaina
Elise
Eniah
Erica

Love it!

She's a medieval saint, a French import and a fresh alternative to the waves of Ellas sweeping the land.

Elodie Celeste, Elodie Grace, Elodie Jane, Elodie Bess, Elodie Frances, Elodie Katrine.

Elodie. Hmm, her nick name would turn into Elle or Ellie. But it's an alright name---maybe I'm just not use to it, I haven't met anyone with that name. If you like it, go for it! It isn't that crazy of a name, it's original, but not ridiculous sounding. Good luck.

i think it is very old fashioned, but not a classic, such as Elizabeth, Nicole, Jennifer and Victoria are.

I like Melody Claire, Paige, Rose or Celeste. Those could go with Elodie too...

I love it. Another French name would flow well -- Elodie Marie sounds pretty.

Yikes. Whatever happened to normal names? Elodie sounds like a medication for Erectile Disfunction.

Try a more common E name such as Ellen with a D middle name such as Denise. Shorten it to Ellie D. It sounds similar to your Elodie, but at least the poor child has options as she gets older and wants a name that she doesn't have to explain to people. Remember that this name isn't about YOU, it is about your daughter. She has to live with it.

I really like it! For me, it depends on how you pronounce it. I go with ee-LOW-dee, but I know some people say it EL-ow-dee.

For ee-LOW-dee:

Elodie Gemma
Elodie Penelope
Elodie Ophelia
Elodie Jane
Elodie Patrice
Elodie Georgia

For EL-ow-dee

Elodie Lorraine
Elodie Danielle
Elodie Denise
Elodie Olivia
Elodie Brianne
