In my contract of construction of a concrete swimming pool or spa, schedule of payments no. 4, "pay $xx,xxx after installation of the structure shell and internal plumbing".

I can see the structure shell but not the "internal" plumbing. How can I know they installed that ?

Find the critical points. Then find and classify all the extreme values:

(I) f(x) = 2x^2 +5x -1, x E [-2,0]

(II) f(x) = x^2 / (1+x^2), x E [-1,2]

Where E is that sideways looking M, not sigma (unless they mean the same thing?).

(III) f(x) = sin2x - x, 0<=x<=pi

I have several computers in the house that share the ethernet network. I would like to have a hard drive that would be accessible from any computer. I tried the Western Digital My Book World drive, but it's too darn slow. Are there alternatives? I would like to keep it under $300

My mom is 50 years old heavy chain-smoking woman for years. She is on her 3 packs a day habit with no intense to quit or cut it down. She is smoking for about 25 years, and she is always with a ciggie in her mouth smoking like a chimney and every day she smokes more and more. She also likes to smoke two cigs at once saying that she really needs to smoke more to feel good. In a recent years she started to smoke cigars on a daily purpose, she is really deeply inhaling them and says that she likes big smoke that fills her inside. She has a female friends about her age, who also smokes a lot and when they come to our house it is smoke everywhere i'm almost out of breath.
And my mom changed a lot. She looks older than she is, she got wrinkles on her face too early, she has a yellow tar stained teeth and very bad breath, she is always coughing a lot and constantly out of breath, sometimes i noticed that she is feeling dizzy, but she says she is ok and that she needs to smoke.Is it problem?

and finally found someone who did hate them?

In my entire life, I've never heard anyone say they hated Deep Purple.... until today. It's okay, he listens to Nickelback.

So what are some bands you thought was impossible to hate and recently found someone who did hate them?

Ok, My husband and I split a house with a couple downstairs, and we've known them for a little over a year. We have become good friends with them they consider us family.
The guy downstairs has a job and is away for days at a time. Two days ago he was home, and was talking about how he was going to be going far up north for about 4 days and he was leaving at like 5 in the morning. Well, we heard him get up at 5am and he was gone by 530. But then my husband had a doctor's appointment later that day and he said he saw this guy driving in his truck around town. And we asked his gf if he had gone and she said yep, he left this morning up north.
So it was kinda wierd, and was wondering if there is any reason we should maybe ask the guy, be cause clearly she thought he was up north when he wasnt. Or should we just leave it be? I dunno...

Like practioners of "civil disobedience" before me, I am always seeking to persuade non-muslims not to apply the doctrines of tolerance so common in the west, to those who so plainly refuse to return the same (Islamists).

Questions like this always get the proverbial "I know a Muslim and hes not like that" responses. Whats so painful about reading responses like that is the lack of critical thinking skills so prevelant therein.

2 years ago, my dad had a suicide attempt in front of me and was in the hospital for 6 months. He is on 7 diffrent medications and doesn't work. But he has Multiple personalites and you can tell him somethng one minute and the next minute he would forget. Some kids at my school found out what happend to my dad and are teasing me about it. How do I deal with my dad and the teasing??

I am a single father I raise my 29 month old son. I broke off my relationship with my ex in Apr. 2006. Caught her with another man. She bothered me for about a month after. It stopped when she realized there was no chance of reconciliation. I have not heard from her since 2 weeks before our sons birthday (June 10, 2006). She has not attempted to see our boy since then. No contact whatsoever. I have been trying to obtain custody of my son with no success.
I went to Sask. provincial family services - no luck. I went to numerous other agencies - no luck. I went to lawyers on three occasions - no luck
I am told there is not a thing can be done, as in the laws of Canada the mother is considered the primary caregiver until proven otherwise by courts.
I work full time,supporting him is not a problem. He is the world to me and it is very upsetting when I want to keep and love him, he can be taken away from me at any time by a mother who ABANDONED HIM. Any advice - PLEASE HELP
