sea duty? they should provide you with rockers( the patches with the ship's name on them) as soon as you check in. wait until you get assigned your rack though before you decide on sheets, blankies and real pillows( although you WILL want them.) laptop> wait until you find out exactly how much lockable storage you will have, keeping in mind that you MIGHT even get lucky and have space in your workspace to lock stuff up.

even shore duty is the same, although you could prolly get away with bringing the sheets/pillows/blankies along with. you WILL be issued some, but you won't like them. you report wearing the rockers of your A school(same w/ sea duty) and you would change them out ASAP. In fact, be smart, and rip all the rockers off except on the set on Blues you plan on wearing to check in with. that way you have less to do when you get them. They may not provide enough to cover all your uniforms though. Buy additionals at the Uniform Store. .

Yes you can bring your laptop and blanket. Don't bring your sheets and pillow, those will be issued to you. Will you be going to a ship? If so, remember space is at a premium, so don't bring a lot of personal belongings.
Second, about your patches sewn on your uniforms. Are you seriously asking that question? Are you even IN the Navy yet? If you are, then you SHOULD know that your patches should already be sewn on before you report, and that they should have been issued to you in boot or A school. If they weren't, you should know the the NEX has a uniform shop that can take care of all of your needs.
