Ok, My husband and I split a house with a couple downstairs, and we've known them for a little over a year. We have become good friends with them they consider us family.
The guy downstairs has a job and is away for days at a time. Two days ago he was home, and was talking about how he was going to be going far up north for about 4 days and he was leaving at like 5 in the morning. Well, we heard him get up at 5am and he was gone by 530. But then my husband had a doctor's appointment later that day and he said he saw this guy driving in his truck around town. And we asked his gf if he had gone and she said yep, he left this morning up north.
So it was kinda wierd, and was wondering if there is any reason we should maybe ask the guy, be cause clearly she thought he was up north when he wasnt. Or should we just leave it be? I dunno...

You are wise to question what to do . Any way you play this is potentially going turn out badly. It sucks that the husband is a lying MF, and the wife is in the dark. But what would telling her do except get one and probably both of them PO'd at you. I would have your husband ask the other husband WTF is going on, letting him know that he was seen in town, when he should have been elsewhere. and see what happens, as your husband was the one who saw him. After that you have to tread lightly.

Maybe he was doing something that morning? Like at an office or meeting before hand? You never really know. Although it sounds a little suspicious. I think you shouldn't say anything for exbarassment, but if something like this happens again or other signs, i'd bring the subject of cheating up.
