I couldnt sit through more than the first few minutes, I was so disgusted with the parlour tricks...

This woman claims to speak with the dead. Her first guests are two women - sisters about 30-35yo. They sit and she introduces herself and says how she does things - she will need a personal object of the deceased person. They give her a necklace - miraculously, she "feels" that it belonged to their mother!!! OMG, it must be real, right??

It took me about 10 seconds to figure it out. Two ladies, both sisters and around mid-30's in age - whom are these two women most likely to have lost? A PARENT, right? The necklace - OBVIOUSLY female jewelry. So, she states "mom" and both girls grab each others hands quickly - thus confirming to the "psychic" that she is on target so far...

Why do people fall for this BS? I'll admit - the woman was good at what she does, but it was so transparent as a parlour trick, I couldnt watch more than 10 minutes...

I bought sweater because I thought it was nice but now I don't think it is. I've only worn it a couple of times and I can't return it to the store. It's gray with painted flowers at the back. What can I do to make it better? I don't want to sew anything on because the stitches will go through the other side. I'm willing to bleach if it'll help. I can also iron on patches. What do you suggest?

Why all this trouble when I can always buy a new one? I have fun going through this type of trouble. ..So thank you, if you can help.

It's too bad he didn't stick around for a few more years, he would've won the WS. In parts of 14 seasons from 1982-1995, he had: 2,153 hits, 1,007 runs, 442 DB's, 222 HR's, 1,099 RBI's, only struck out 444 times, and a lifetime BA of .307. Pretty damn good numbers, certainly on par with Kirby Pucket and he's in the HOF, of course he did get 2 rings. Mattingly was a 9 time gold-glove winner at first base, he was a 6 time all-star, won the 1985 MVP AL, and won the batting title in 1984, and had many other awards. He had a bad back and retired relatively young in 1995 at age 34. He was the Yankees Captain and has his number 23 retired by the Yankees and has a monument in centerfield. He was a clean player and didn't use roids and was a good family man, and will probably be a great future manager of the Yankees. Any sentiment to get him into the Hall one day?

My lecturer has given us a question to think about, but I just don't understand it.

This is the question as posted in her email:

'so, when revising defamation this week, make a particular notes in your law notes about the internet service providers (ISPs) who may inadvertently have someone post a defamatory message in an online forum. What is the position here? It's actually covered in the DA 1996'

Can someone make sense of the above and guide me towards an answer?

Thanks!

2008 Nissan Altima or the 2008 Nissan Sentra? I know its kinda difficult to compare since they are in different classes but what is a better value? I'm leaning towards the Altima because it has a coupe model also bluetooth and navigation. The Sentra does have bluetooth but no navigation, but better fuel economy and cheaper.

Does the Sentra have enough kick in it? I'm not looking to race but I want enough acceleration for passing on the highway. Do they plan on having a coupe Sentra in the near future?

What would you get and why?

Is that $15K taxable to me? If so, should someone be sending me a 1099? Who would send it to me, the closing company, title company???

I never used to let my son watch more than 1/2 an hour TV a day but I had another baby 3 months ago and I started letting him watch while I nursed her.
He's now totally addicted. If I turn it off he has tantrums that sometimes last literally for hours. He won't play with any of his toys. If it's nice outside we go to the park as much as possible because he will still do that. But the weather isn't always so great now it's fall so we're stuck inside more.
This morning he said he wanted to watch TV "all day" so, thinking I would try a bit of reverse psychology, I said "Okay, we'll throw away all your toys you can watch TV all day strapped into your high chair."
He said "Okay mum, I'll help." We packed all his toys into garbage bags and he sat in front of the TV from 8:45 this morning until he fell asleep around 3:30! I made him move once when I noticed that there was pee dripping onto the floor under the chair because he didn't even want to move to change!
Help!
