Because of its innovative Click Wheel and its ease of use. Not to mention its great integration with iTunes, which makes music managing much much easier. Other players might have more features the iPod doesn't have (take a look at the Creative Zen line), but still, the iPod beats them all! It's simply the best music player in the world... 'nuff said...

Personally Ipods are Gay, but they do offer a large storage capacity for a reasonable price.
That is all that is good about it
Ipod has no Bass, even if you get nice headphones

There's a reason that Apple has sold over 100 million of them. They work well and integrate very easily with iTunes. You can also find tons of accessories for them. Try looking for accessories for Zune. You won't find many.
They're also very cool looking and fun. That's part of why they still have an unheard of 70% of market share.

You shouldn't, they are overpriced, overrated MP3 players. Take a look at the SanDisk Sansa as a great alternative. I bought mine from digitaldealz.net, nice MP3 player, and my buddies with iPods envy my MP3 player.

They are the base model and tons of accessories for them. and the white earphones are attractive for thief's - so upgrade to ones that are black and better IMHO Sundhizer ROCKS.
