I built a website for a company. This week I did some updating on the links page. I was wondering if everyone who views it sees the banners for R. Lee Emery website and it works when clicked. I have dumped my cache but still not sure. Here is the link to the page it is on http://www.star15.com/links.html

Question, I keep my bike outside my apartment with only a cover (good branded motorcycle cover btw) and now that cold weather is upon us is it ok to keep it outside? I'm still looking for a garage but if I can't find one what can I do? I mean what are the limits/do's/don'ts. Thanks for your input.

Hello, I have a bad situation now. I made a verbal agreement over the phone with a collection agency to pay off a freinds debt. I was at work at the time so I did a 3way conversation w/ my friend, the collector&me. I have my friend permission to give this man my bank account info. I live in NY and hte agency was in Ca so by state law this was the only way I could pay. I decided that I dont want to pay for my friend. can the agency take any action against me since i made a verbal agreement. The agecy issued a check w/ my bank info and it was being used to take the money out of my back account. my bank sent the check back to them since i didnt give authorization (meaning my signature) i asekd my bank if my authorization over the phone would be good enough and they said no. I dont want to the bothered w/ this cause its stressful. my main question is can the agency do anything to me if i tell them i dont want to be a part since i made this agreement over the phone. pleeease help!

Our oldest daughter is 12, going to be 13 next May. I am her stepmother and very proud of her so far. Sort of to get ahead of the game. My husband and I both know it is coming to a point where boys will no longer be the carriers of cooties. Being from the city I of course had more opportunities for finding out about such things and he being from the country and less opportunity for much other than work and school.

What of our lives and struggles should we share or not share?

How to get started?

How to not scare her?

It's sad, but we are finding it difficult to remember even having these discussions with our parents 20 years ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My chiropractor uses the word awsome so many times during a visit that it drives me insane. He is in his early 30's and is kind of like a big kid. My task is to find him a word he can replace that's awesome with before I go insane. Since changing internet providers I can't get the word of the day from doctordictionary.com. It used to be just click and you got sent a word a day to have fun with vocabulary, Now the site isn't giving me that option so I'm asking for you guys to help me find Dr. Heath Schipp a cool new word to use

most of the time I read on here that atheist believe there is no God, based on their common sense and they say that they educated themselves...do you not know that ALOT of scholars believe there is really good evidence that there is a God! They have P.H. D.'s and have studied alot of historical documents, secular and biblical, that give great evidence that the Bible is accurate in it's accounts, therefore what it says is true. Which it states many times that there is a God.
Look up these Scholars:
Craig L. Blomberg, PH.D.
Bruce M Metzger, PH.D.
Edwin M. Yamauchi, PH.D.
John Mcray, PH.D.
Gregory A. Boyd, PH.D.
Ben Witherington III, PH.D.
Some like Lee Strobel (not listed above) started out atheist and started studying historical documents and became Christian after they studied, because of the overwhelming Truth. Lee Strobel got his degree at Yale Law School.

Historically, the first deities ever worshiped the world over where goddesses. Female gods were far more accepted than male ones. It made sense, as the people saw life being born only from the female, it would stand that the world around them would have to have come from a female womb.

Even in ancient Greek mythology (which became predominantly patriarchal later on), Rhea was the one to bring forth life into the world (by mating with her son whom she gave birth to parthenogenetically).

Minoan society, for example, had not a single male god image which leads historians to believe that there were no male gods to balance out the pantheon.

Even in Judaism, Yaweh had a wife, a goddess, for a short time. Ishtar was arguably one of the most powerful deities in the ancient Mesopotamia.

So what happened? If worship started out with goddesses, when did it switch over to males? And more importantly: why?
