We want to paint our garage door this weekend. It's supposed to be around 60 to 63 degrees, 10% chance of rain but damp. Will it be okay to paint?

Also, I'm thinking we need to prime it first. Do we need to sand it before priming?

Lastly, should we use semi-gloss paint?

Though it is cold, damp and comfy quite
Each and every I rise for bite
Do well to fear those of glowing eyes

It's been 5 mos since my ex (we were together for 2.5 yrs) broke up with me. We still talk, but he contacts me mostly. His birthday is coming up and he's invited me. Part of me wants to go, but part of me doesn't. I want to go because I hadn't seen him in a while. I don't want to go because what if he posted an invite on MySpace and a lot the girls that are on his friends list likes him and I don't want to be there if those GIRLS are there (it took a lot out of me to refer to them as girls). I don't want to ruin his party by showing up or getting angry because those GIRLS are there.

I still love him very much, but I don't want to be there if those girls are there. I admit that I just can't stand to see him with someone else other than me. His bf has called to beg me into coming because he claims my ex wants me to come and he wants to see me. For some reason, I'm not buying it. I really dont know if I want to go or not. Any advice?

I have many little superstitions and thought about breaking them last week to see if anything would actually happen. I put it to the test by getting out of bed left foot first (supposed to be bad luck so i always get out right foot first) and that day i had the most terrible luck. I got a ticket on my car, lost my wallet, got sick and my goldfish died!

Has anyone else broken a superstition with regrettable consequences?

At what point to do just give up trying?

My husband and I have been ttc for over 3 years. We've both been checked out and there was no physical reason found for not concieving. I've been on clomid for several months now. We got pregnant a few months ago, but I lost it very early. This month I was ABSOLUTELY certain we were going to get pregnant. We both were. I have no idea why, we just knew deep down that this was the month. Then, a couple of weeks ago my hubby made a joke (sort of) that I was pg with twins. A couple of days later I found out that I had ovulated for the month, but that I had another egg coming and to continue the baby dance to increase my odds. (TWINS???) So needless to say, I had myself all kind of psyched up to be pregnant, possibly with twins. Well, I took a hpt this morning and it was negative. I am having some cramping in my abdomen which I am assuming is premenstrual.

Another question--can a gun shot wound in the abdomen cause someone to go in a coma or to be unconscious for long, long periods of a time in a hospital? If not, where do you have to be shot where you have to be in a coma but can eventually get out of the hospital walking, talking and darn near back to normal again? (This is for a story i'm writing)

Of course you're moral. I'm interested in how you feel an atheist society would fill the void left in society where there are no theistic institutions. In all of the atheist websites I've seen, I haven't seen anyone mention how they feel a society needs to teach the concept of right and wrong.

1 - Is it (morality) something that is relative to the society or the individual?

1a - If it is to society, who teaches it?

1b - If it is to the individual, how do you decide which wrongs need to be enforced?

This is especially with the guppies I buy. I test the water and its fine & even had the pet store test it for me & they said it was fine as well. I do regular water changes & don't overfeed my fish. I bought a guppy and a platy the other day and two days later they died (this happens everytime I buy fish!). I went back and they replaced it for me and the new one died as well. They even recommended that I try buying fish from other places to see if they survive and I have and the guppies are usually fine but other fish die. I have plenty of airation in the tanks.
12 gallon tank: 5 female guppies (1 died, then the replacement died) 3 males, 1 baby pleco. 20 gallon: 6 neon tetras, 4 cherry barbs (1 looks like its going to die- its skin around the mouth looks like its peeling), 4 rasboras, 3 mollies, 2 cory cats, and 1 small pleco. The guppy tank is new, cycled using stability. I heard about dyed guppies and that they are weaker and I wonder if that is in fact what I get at this store!

The babylonian "Epic of Gilgamesh" tells the story of a flood, a man, a cubic shaped ark, animals being taken on board, sending out a dove and a raven after the flood". This epic poem was written over a thousand years before the plagarized Noah knockoff--so-if you believe in the literal bible how does plagarism (a lie) fit in with all that?
