Yes. As a boy when seeing an ambulance I would touch my finger and my nose and say "Touch my finger touch my nose I'll never go in one of those." I stopped doing this because I thought it was a bit daft. However one playtime in the school playground a boy jumped on my back unexpectedly and I collapsed with my right leg under me.The result was that I broke my leg. The date was April 13th 1949 and I was 13 years old. Although the school took me to the hospital in a taxi, I was brought home in an ambulance. Since that time I have not indulged in superstitious rituals.

Nothing bad has ever really happend to me on friday the 13th either but valentines day last year i got glandula fever (called erm mono in US?) I twisted my leg or back (can't remember) got a fail back in my coursework it was a rubish day.
The thing is i have done things for luck as well and i know they don't work or improve anything so therefore i don't belive in any of it.

I'm not superstitious, but the following happened to make me maybe think twice.
It's said it's bad luck to remove a swallows nest, we were re roofing our outbuildings and a swallows nest was up in one of the rafters we had to replace, we did our best not to disturb it.
There was a horrendous thunderstorm that evening, and we went out in the morning to find the nest had been washed away and 5 baby swallows were drowned......later on that morning, my neighbour found my beautiful little female ginger cat, Dakota, lying dead on the road.
Did that happen because the swallows died?
I miss my little Dakota terribly, and feel so guilty about the swallows.

Sorry but you are talking nonsense. Those are totally unrelated incidents. Sometimes bad things happen sometimes good things happen. What foot you get out of bed with will make no difference nor will any of the other bits of nonsense superstitious people come out with

it is in common terms a superstition. One time, my buddy had her locker open and that i walked up and punched the door so the mirror hit her head, fell and broke, and that i don't have undesirable luck. i think of it extremely is assumed to be undesirable luck in case you ruin a mirror because of the fact it extremely is a real mirrored photograph of your soul (i think of that it why vampires in fiction don't have reflections). The Romans, alongside with the Greek, chinese language, African and Indian cultures, believed that a mirror had the flexibility to confiscate area of the consumer's soul. If the consumer's pondered photograph grew to become distorted in any way, this could advise a corruption of his or her soul. If the consumer could ruin a mirror it might advise his or her soul may be trapped contained in the mirror. The Romans additionally believed that a individual's actual physique renewed itself each seven years, so decrease than that standards it might take seven years earlier the consumer's soul may be totally restored. Up until eventually then, existence for a mirror breaker may be one long string of unlucky activities, for the reason that she or he not had a healthful soul to steer sparkling of non secular evil-doers. because of the fact the products of the mirror can nevertheless mirror the corrupted soul, the full mirror could be floor into airborne dirt and dirt. No mirrored photograph, no difficulty. it is likewise reported that when you ruin a mirror, you may positioned money right into a shovel and bury the products decrease than a tree throughout an entire moon.

The Bible says not to swear. It doesn't mean cussing, though that can hurt us too. It means taking an oath, or swearing to a person or organzation. Because if we have to break that oath, evil will come back on us. The Power of the Spoken Word, (sound), is a spiritual power. Our Creator spoke, and things came into being.

No doubt you were preoccupied with looking out for bad things happening, instead of thinking about parking in a legal spot, and remembering to put your wallet away.
