ok, i have a small problem. i live with my boyfriend and we are both strict vegetarians (not vegan) of 7+ year. i've recently decided i'd like to try eating fish. my body feels like i need to eat something with rich protein. last time i mentioned this he gave me the "gross" look. i know he doesn't want me to eat fish. i was thinking of eating it and hiding it from him, but this doesn't sound like a good idea for our relationship.

anyone have suggestions? should i tell him i'm going to eat it and only eat it when he's not around? i would really like to cook it at home, but is that disrespectful?

I'm not sure what kind of answers i'm trying to get. maybe just another opinion than my own.

My husband will be returning home very soon after doing a 15 month deployment to Iraq, as a welcome home gift I purchased his dad a ticket to fly up and see my husband (his son). My husband is very excited, however I am not ...for the simple fact that within the past 10 months my F.I.L. has become VERY VERY religious, every week he goes to a baptist church, a methodist church , a catholic church and he also attends a synagogue. We are all catholics, my husband,son and I do attend church on sundays. But wedont want to listen to what my F.I.L. has to say, he just goes on and on telling us we are going to hell (why im not sure) the world is ending, he called our 15 year old son when i was out one day and told my son that he was going to hell because he plays video games. How can we (me and my husband) make it clear that we do not want to hear about his beliefs, he talks about it ALL the time. My sis in law has completely stopped talking to her dad because of how he is.

When i go out and hang out with my best [girl]friend and eat with her. i just somehow manage to lose my appetite... and i just cant eat when im with her... and i mean that in a good way, theres nothing wrong about her that makes me not want to eat


We both like each other idk if that makes a difference...

Any suggestions on how to solve this? or any help?

I've read several essays and commentaries in the past week that describe eclectic paganism/wicca as insulting to those who follow a strict traditional path, comparing it even to theft.

Is this a commonly shared thought amongst the Pagan community? I didn't realize that there was such animosity between Pagans.

I have never seen anything that could not be explained by science or luck. I have prayed to God and have never had any response. All I have to suggest that the Christian God is real is the word of other people. Can you see where we are coming from? You tell us we have to believe, but you can’t believe something until you have reason to believe it.

I know you may have heard about this but I've just been faced with this question and I need an answer that really makes sense. My lecturer just told us that the wheel was invented before the actual science-thinking of the wheel, hence technology came first. I bought some from my local farmers market because it looked good, but I have never made it before! The man selling it said it works sort of like pasta - so I can put marinara on it - but does anyone know any good recipes to serve with it or on it or in it?

I have some fresh onion, mushroom, bell pepper, green onion, and tomatoes - would this go with it? Like in it?
