Of course you can! Just because it's a new day doesn't mean yesterday didn't count! There is 3500 calories in a pound to lose or gain. Eat less, move more. So to make up for yesterday either eat a little less or exercise a little more to balance out. The trick is to not give up when you screw up a little and just say "Oh well today is ruined, mine as well eat bad and start over tomorrow." If you do bad then start making up for it then and hang in there! Good luck :)

There will always be days that you don't do well on your diet. Go for an average over a longer period of time such as a week. This will be easier to maintain. One day you may go out to eat with friends and do really bad by going over by 500 calories. If you completely deduct that from the next day, you won't have enough calories and will be hungry increasing your chances of cheating. By spreading it over a week, you may only need to cut 100 calories a day to make up the difference. Another thing to remember is that weight loss/gain is based on calories in vs calories used so you could also make up for those extra calories eaten by using more calories (additional exercise). The effect would be the same.

NO! if you slip up a few calories, chock it up to living in the moment and start a new the next day. Don't punish yourself the next day because you had an extra carrot, just promise to stay on track for the next day.

Also, you should try to stay within a calorie range. If you stay at say 350 calories per meal everyday for a long period of time, your body gets used to that intact and hits a plateau. So to keep your body guessing on how much it's going to get, stay within a range of calories for a day or meal, however you are going to count it out. Say for a meal you allow yourself anywhere between 350-450 calories a meal and sticking to only 4-6 grams of fat a meal, then your body will have options on how to burn calories and not feel starved.

Plus, when you are dieting your brain goes haywire and wants food all the time. If you allow yourself a little splurge in a meal then you don't feel so deprived all the time. I suggest one day a week where you get to eat a No-No food, like dessert. It will get you through that week and you will be looking forward to your splurge day. But, as always, Moderation. Eat only one serving and one splurge food. Mine is potato chip Pork Chops that I make. They are soo good and I can count on them every Saturday. It makes Sun-Fri a lot easier. Good Luck and let me know how you are doing!

Unfortunately, like sleep it doesn't really work that way. If you ate too much one day, you can't fix it the following day. You can of course choose to eat lighter and exercise more, which will help your guilty conscience. Obviously, working out more and eating fewer calories is a good idea if you want to lose weight but you can't decide to eat really badly one day and then make up for the next. That will really screw with your metabolism. Keep in mind though that everyone slips up and that's natural!

I think if you go over you should workout and burn off those extra calories, you can deduct some from the next day but not too much... try not to go below 1200 calories per day!

I am not sure, but my guess would be no.

Tomorrow is a new day, and just try to stay within your calorie range and pretty soon, you will.

I have had a lot of luck with www.sparkpeople.com, I too am counting calories and they have a nutrition tracker and a fitness plan and everything you could imagine, and it's FREE!

Good luck girl!

so some distance as weight alleviation is worried, sure, yet...the threat is which you're technically "yo-yo"ing and your physique likes consistency over the years for weight alleviation. Doing it that way potential that sometime you is only no longer getting each and every of the nutrition that your physique desires.

theoretically if you want to roll over then you should follow 2,000 calories a day or 712,000 calories a year.

personally i think i would follow the 2000 cal a day.
