I have carpet glued to my basement floor. I need to remove the carpet so I can lay vinyl tile. I imagine the glue holding the carpet will leave residue that the self-adhesive vinyl floor tile isn't going to like. Can I coat it, can I sand it, or do I have to completely strip it? Any suggestions on a method for preparing the floor along with any recommended coatings or solvents would be helpful. Thanks!

I've never worked in fast food, so I am directing this question as those who have. Why do places like McDonalds and Wendys always short you on BBQ sauce. I don't need too much, but I figure you should get one sauce for every 5 nuggets or so. Often, they give you 2 sauces with a 20 piece nuggets. Is sauce especially expensive. Is this something franchise owners really look at closely. I thought at first, the workers were not really paying attention, but this is a nationwide thing. There has to be something to it. Anyone care to elaborate?

I am just married after 1 year of being engaged.
My wife is a full-time student in a four year college, she has no source of income and has relied only on me for the past two years.(even though her parents have claimed her as a dependent for these past years) I am however, out of college and have a full time job. Now that we are married would I be able to claim her as a dependent on my tax returns. This would probably help out our financial situation greatly, if I was able to do so.

I prefer individuals that are knowledgeable and not guessing to
answer my question.
Thanks

I'm 17 years old, over 6 foot tall and unfortunate enough to live in the tiny box room whilst my sister who's half the size of me, gets the biggest room in the house (she is older though)

Anyway, I'm decorating my bedroom again and need ideas for a space saving bed, preferably one that I can fit a desk under so I have space for my PC. Trouble is, all these types of beds are either a) designed for kids that are 2 foot tall or b) ridiculously expensive.

My dad suggested that I get plans for building one and he'd do it himself, but I can't find any, nor can I find any for sale that don't match the criteria I said above, all I get is 'childrens cabin beds' (I don't want a cabin bed, I want one that folds away)

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Do you think it is right to alter the genetic mutation of plants if the scientists are using genes that are already there but randomly rearranging them until they come up with something "better"? Or do you think it is wrong to alter nature with the chance that something could go wrong?

I've tried to use pandora for jazz and folk music. Even if I "seed" 50 or 60 artists, pandora plays the same artists, and the same tunes, over and over. It seems that if you add an artist pandora will play it immediately after you select, and then totally forget that artist. Why? What can I do?
