LOL someone is playing a huge joke on you ..the only thing sony is doing is releasing a 40 gig ps3 for a price between 299 and 399. It has the same insides and extras it is just a 40gig....THe ps3 60 gig will be bundled for the holidays with two gotta get em games and the 80 gig will be out as well ...all are the same except the hardrive size...

Theres no ps3 elite, and the graphics are the same for all the systems. Theres the 40gb which doesnt have backword compatibility with ps1/ps2 games this will only have 2 usb slots and no card readers, and then theres the 60 and 80 gb ps3s which do have backward compatibiliity and card readers. Im not certain about what i said about the 40gb cause its not out yet but thats what ive heard about it so far.

Actually, the 40gb version is going to be the "stripped" version. No backwards compatible at all, two fewer USB ports, and no multimemory card port. So far it's only confirmed for the UK.
