I've heard all the hype. But I'm curious how educated people feel on this?

Is it really a terrible sport for the dogs? The horse people don't condemn horse racing (that I've heard). Is it the PETA people turning legitimate businesspeople into the spawn of Satan? Did a few bad apples spoil the reputation of everyone?

Through the evolutionary process how does information increase on the genome? Or in other words how can point mutations create new chromosomes or lengthen a strand of DNA? I.e. mice have 20 chromosones , humans have 23 and dogs have 39. How can genetic mutations create new chromosones?

I doubt that anyone can give me a satisfactory answer (but if you can provide a link) because this is one of the holes in the theory. And no this is not creationists propaganda, but a genuine question about the theory.

With the foreign made cars we drive? The made in China American flags we wave? Or the made in Viet Nam Niki shoes that we wear?

Try this out for irony:

Doesn’t anyone here care that both China and Viet Nam are still communist countries and by buying their products we are helping to keep their form of government alive?

Are you supporting America or are you supporting and feeding the greed of a handful of Americans who are outsourcing our jobs and our future to other countries?

I'm not an Obama supporter and won't vote for him but maybe, just maybe, Obama has a point!

it seems like this site tends to draw only the very conservative or fundamentalist Christians, but maybe that's just because they're more vocal than the more liberal Christians. Does it seem that way to other people?

I'm really disappointed with the Religion and Spirituality section here, but that's beside the point. I am interested in the myriad Pagan sects there are out there. I feel as though I may fit into one of them, but there seem to be so many options, that I'm not sure. Can someone explain to me the main ideas? I know Pagan is a general term. I think I'm more interested in Celtic Paganism, but since I don't really know what that means, I'm not sure that's correct. Thanks for any help. (To Christians who want to tell me I am going the wrong way- I get it, I was raised Christian, I've studied the Bible backwards, forwards, and inside out, multiple translations, in multiple ways. I have my own theories on that, so don't bother.)

I need to give a presentation in my horticulture class in 2 weeks over someone I interview in the field of horticulture.

None of the questions would be personal. I would just like to send a few emails so I can give my presentation.

I need to interview someone in the following professions...

Greenhouse grower
Florist
Retail Sales
Ground maintenance
Turf maintenance
Turf production
Nursery production
Arborist
Extension Agent
Research Technician
Horticultural Therapist
Golf Course Management
Landscape Design
Education

I would like to find someone in horticultural therapy since that is what I am going into, but I appreciate any help from anyone.

I posted this about 2 weeks ago, but I can't get the question to open anymore, and I have no idea why :(.

Thank you so much and I appreciate every reply!!!

Please don't answer with follow your heart or anything similar. It will not help me. I've heard that junk my entire life and it's never helped.

My problem is I have no ambition whatsoever. No goals, hopes, or dreams and it's been fine for me up until I graduated High School.

My parents plan on kicking me out unless I get a job which wouldn't be a problem if I cared. I can see why it would be a problem, but it's no motivation for me at all. Nothing that happens to me seems threatening enough for me to care. I feel like I'll have to hit rock bottom on the streets before I care about anything which is something I don't want it to resort to. If they told me to leave tomorrow it wouldn't be problem and I really wouldn't harbor any ill-will. They just have to say the words, but they never do.

I'm very much content with whatever happens to me which is something I see as a problem. I need to 'want' something.

After thence....(I know the word mawkishness.....I just cant figure out what on earth Keats was trying to say....

Does it mean that in reading the pages one experiences the same feeling as being in that phase? or that one who has been though it would understand? or what?!?!? I'm sure there are other options....

Could someone please paraphrase the last part of the sentence in clear modern american english?

Thanks a bunch - I was going to use it as an inscription to a book - but now I'm not sure that it means what I thought....its a keats quote for a keats fan....but really, whats it mean?

The imagination of a boy is healthy, and the mature imagination of a man is healthy; but there is a space of life between, in which the soul is in a ferment, the character undecided, the way of life uncertain, the ambition thicksighted: thence proceeds mawkishness, and the thousand bitters which those men I speak of must necessarily taste in going over the following pages."

Shes still working and just bear the pain. she is single and young and she told me that she will just wait her time when it comes because she was already ready to die. I wonder how long she will live? I know she was in pain but she just hide this to us (her officemates) but in their home she was crying of pain.
