It largely depends on your definitions. After all I know plenty of people/groups who'd distance themselves from any Sect of their faith that goes off the deep end. We've all seen here claims that Hitler was not a Xian or Proper Xian or True Xian - the list is endless.
Personally it's more an answer than a specific faith. The most violent attitude is Fundamentalism. Fundies who bomb the innocent believing the end justify the means. This includes military targets as well as non-military ones like abortion clinics.

Religion is not for violence, it is only the followers who twist the principals of religion for satisfying their own lower tendencies. We can't blame any religion and any prophet but can blame such ignorance which allows followers to follow in shameful manner.

well everyone is just jumping to the conclusion that Islam takes the cake on this one, but did you ever stop to consider that maybe our view of he world is VERY distorted because of the media and especially because of our ignorance. i'm guessing that everyone who's responded gets their information from CNN, BBC, or their ill-educated neighbour? well hat pretty much says it all. does anyone know that bin laden was actually trained by the US? no i guess not. and what do you have to say about the US -- or bush -- just upping and going to war like the cowboy that he thinks he is? no one stops to consider that the media is SEVERELY manipulated, hence so is their view on the world.
do you all believe in santa clause as well? or did you figure out one day that he really doesn't exist? well same thing. do your research and THEN respond to religious questions without bringing your share of ignorance to the table. does everyone here also believe that president bush won his election fairly? or have you actually researched and found that the whole election was rigged by his party? ppl who do not know this -- scary. my point is DO YOUR RESEARCH!
while you're getting your facts straight, also check out the facts on who actually executed 9/11....trust me, it's an easy one. it wasn't Muslims i'll tell you that much....
ignorance of one generation will inevitably fuel the ignorance of future generations....... so let's get our facts straight before we jump to conclusions, as is the trend with us
