Matthew 25:14-30

It's the parable of the talents... I read it this morning, and I want to know how others interpret it, since Jesus did not explain this one like He did with the parable of the sower. What do the talents represent? life? or spiritual gifts? And the hidden talent would be... like an attitude of a person who's wrapped up in themself? and the last servant would be a selfish Christian? it cant be unbeliever, for he says 'i knew you' or something like that. And what about the faithful servants? they would be....? and then, put in charge of .. ? im just extremely curious. Thanks.

All of jesus' miracles:healing sick people by just touching them, raising people from the dead, walking on water, turning water to wine, Jesus himself being resurected

Have you ever seen something like these things happen? Of course not, its impossible. So why do we accept today that these things happened? Doesnt it seem just a little irrational?

The leaders of the church teach that women are powerful and divine individuals, with great potential and ability to change the world, but many of the uneducated within the culture believe that the divine potential stops at getting married and having kids, and that the way to change the world is through raising up a righteous generation. As a single woman that is unable to have children, I know that I have other divine potential than becoming a mother (as great as that may be). How do I both communicate that there is something else out there for me to acheive, and figure out what that is? The cultural answer is to find a husband and adopt kids. What is the doctrinal answer? How do I continue in strength of doctrine, in a culture that teaches that I am useless?

I want to get along with my housemates but there are a lot of them. I'm fine talking to a maximum of three people but after that I feel I can't talk freely and end up saying nothing at all. People are ok with it at first but after a bit they start to maybe think i'm strange. Are there any tricks of the trade that could help me talk to people especially in groups I really want to get along with everyone.

WHich round would be better suited for plinking/self defence, the .25 or .32?

There is something really strange in my love life...I have had 2 long term relationships and both have been with guys who have one or two brothers but NO SISTERS. wel, my bf broke up wid me 4 mos ago. a while ago he is online in YM, and he chats wit me, and i admit that i still love him so much til know!. but he changed his status to "im falling for sum1 new" and a SAD SMILEY. but his display pic is OUR picture, the TWO OF US! im so BROKEN inside!! i dont know what to do!! =(( please. i cant understand him!

So my parents finally allowed me to get an xbox 360 and i've been reading up about it on the internet so i'll be prepared as to which version to buy and such when go to buy it. Trouble is, i've been reading that the xbox 360 has had many different problems because of overheating and scratched discs etc. Now i'm a bit scared of buying one cuz i dont want to have to invest more money than the actual cost of the system and games in order to repair the system itself. so my questions are:

Do all the xbox 360 systems out there (all versions) still have the same amount of problems as before or has microsoft made sure that the systems are atleast a bit more resistant to encountering such problems like overheating?

Is the xbox 360 elite any better than the core or pro system when it comes to durability and resistance to heat?

Should i buy a cooling fan for my xbox 360 regardless of where i plan to put it?

any input would be much appreciated

I just need some advice. I am 22. I lost my Mom last year. I didn't have time to grieve as I had to quickly pack up all of my stuff as well as my mothers, move out, find a home for our German Shepherd and move into my Grandmother's. My Grandmother got sick shortly after, so I had to try the best I could to help her and put my mental needs aside. It is now a little over a year later, I got myself back into college, started working, and am set to graduate with my A.A. in December with plans to pursue my B.A and M.A. But, i'm falling deeper and deeper into depression. I have no health insurance, and i'm just struggling with this anguish alone. The grief and guilt are destroying me. I just don't know how much longer I can take living like this. Is or has anyone out there lost a parent or have gone through a situation similar? I just don't know where to turn anymore. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to write.
