I quit Girl Scouts a year ago after having to defend my beliefs on animal products, etc. Most of the troop was coverting to "veganism" or "vegetarianism". I begain to notice the lack of animal products in the menus for campouts. Once, I chose to eat my eggs with bacon, rather than "facon bacon". The leader came up to me when I was standing up for eating bacon (meat altogether). I said that God made animals for the main purpose of consumption(as I have been raised to believe from the Bible and religious studies) The Girl Scout leader (a mom of a fellow girl scout who started eating vegetarian foods) then said "Well, God made poo, are we supposed to eat that?" To get to my point, religious and food beliefs aside...was that ok for her, a supposed leader in society, to put down a younger member in society to make way for her own personal beliefs. Personally, I was offended as I always thought those kind of people were to be unbiased. Please give me your opinions.

I got pregnate and then he left he said i need to get an abortion but i didnt want to now he says adoption im not up for either im 20 and he is 18 he says if i have it and keep the baby that me and him were threw and he wanted to be left out im so stress and sad about this whole situation?!

I am looking to create a fence for the back wall of my house that kind of has the properties of a garage door. The Reason I want to make it kind of like a garage door is because the opening to the back alley is kind of curved. But I need some ideas. Please help. I'm a college sophomore and I'm interested in this junior. We're friendly, know each other from a class we took together, se each other around campus, made small talk, etc. I've said in an off-hand way a few times that we should get dinner, and this girl said stuff like, "Yeah, Facebook me and we'll make it happen!" So we're going to make it happen next week - the only thing is that I'm now trying to figure out whether we should go to one of the "classier" dining halls or go to this (casual) restaurant close by. I don't want to scare her off this early, but I do want to drop hints that I'm interested....suggestions?

Since at least the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Council_of_Nicaea) Christians have been attempting to standardize beliefs and impress these pigeon-holed concepts on other believers while at the same time assimilating pagan beliefs of native converts. The result has been a multitude of different versions of Christianity from Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe, to the Roman Catholic Church, to the Coptic Orthodox Church in Africa, to Evangelical Christianity in North America. When will Christians recognize that there is no standardization of religion and it is hypocritical to claim that one's beliefs are the "correct" beliefs for whatever reasons? Why don't more Christians practice the tolerance, prudence, and pacifism of Jesus Christ, whom they love so dear, or is it just that the christian voices that are heard are the most radical?
