I was in the kitchen and was putting my coffee into the microwave. and the sugar back into the cupboard. I went to walk the dog and came back. The sugar was hot in the micro wave and the coffee was cold in the cupboard. The milk goes in the freezere and the ice cubes go into the dog food. The dog is blind so I do not have to buy food because he thinks the ice cubes are food. Poor dog??...

I have been dating a guy for almost two years. we're both in college - he commutes and i live in a dorm a half hour away. everything was great until his dad said that i am "manipulative" and im using him. then he insisted my boyfriend only come see me every two or three weeks. my guy feels like he cant disobey his father, but hes 19 (a legal adult!) and he should be able to make his own relationship decisions. it might have been okay had his dad a good reason, but he just doesnt want him to see me. i want to either figure out a way to get his dad to back off OR make my boyfriend stand up to his dad without having to choose between me and his father. im really upset about this, ive never been away from my boyfriend for more than a week at a time, and when we are both done with school we might be at the point where we want to get married. i cant have his dad constantly telling him what to do, especially when he is already old enough to be responsible for himself. what should i do?

I just got into an accident when I was backing up and the other car was backing up also in the parking lot. My left side got a dent in it and paint was scratched heavily on bumper and main piece. The other car's taillight was broken and 2 fairly decent scratches on bumper...
Do we settle this without getting insurances involved or with? I know mine is going to cost well over $1000 to repair and his will cost around $400...

I don't know what they are called. I open my bonnet from in the car... lift it a little, and then a thin silver bar (hydraulic hinge?) comes out of another wider silver thin bar, and takes care of the rest... lifting up the bonnet with a space-age release of air or sound... then holds the bonnet up in position.

I've also got two which gently lift open the boot after you open it a fraction.

Question: I left my bonnet/hood open for a while whilst servicing the car... and I then noticed that hydraulic hingey thing put up a bit of resistance to closing... and it gave a reluctant sound..... prolly cause it had been raised for 5 hours.

Are you meant to use some sort of lubricant to keep those hinges in good shape?????????? Thanks.

With sincere apologies to everyone who I promised I was having a few days off to - sorry - the anger at the injustice that is being tolerated on here by some is just TOO much for me.

I wish that I could be a passive 'let it go -he/she will soon move on' but what is happening here re the thumbs down/pulling of innocent questions IS WRONG.

There is somebody on this site that is picking off those that they disagree with by the only means available to them - for they obviously do not have the wit or the intelligence to use the mighty weapon that is words - that my friends - is terrorism!
Diluted perhaps - but I KEEP chickens - I AM NOT ONE!

For anyone that is interested I shall be starting a BLOG shortly if you need to know how the girls are doing ........... and that aint pretty at the moment either!!!!!!!!!!!
