Are we losing credibility in what is deemed racist due to the flaws of men like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? For example: Taking on highly questionable cases like Tawanna Brawley and the whole Don Imus issue (which could have been settled without the media). So much so that people see we Black people as claiming that everything is racist, and shut down real cases like the Sean bell case in NYC, and the current Jena 6 fiasco? What's your take? No thumbs down or reports please! Honest adult opinions, please!

The chickadees, tufted titmice, and nuthatches pick out the black sunflower seeds and leave everything else! (Perhaps this is my karma because I pick the M&Ms out of trail mix and leave the raisins...) I haven't gotten any sparrows or doves, so no one is eating the millet or safflower. Should I cave in and buy all black sunflower seeds next time? Or are the millet-eaters on their way? Tell me, experienced birders!

Ok...so I see a lot of people talking about Mormon's "magic underwear" not even knowing what the heck it's about.

The "magic underwear" is actually a t-shirt and shorts that we wear under our regular clothes.

Does that help you out any?

Like pendants worn by early Christians for protection by God, the "magic underwear" works the same way....but we just wear it under our clothes instead of a shiney piece of Gold with a symbol and precious stones for protection...

i work as an hr/internal marketing assistant right now. after graduating from a fairly competitive private college (eng/art hist.), i worked in the editorial dept. of a newspaper and during college i interned in the features dept. of a major magazine. i have been at this job a year and hate it but i have no idea what i want to do. the only place i liked working was the magazine and those jobs have proven to be very competitive and nearly impossible to land. i have toyed around with the idea of grad school but just dont know. any tips for figuring out what to do? im already 25 years old and dont know. i know i hate corporate america and need to be in a creative field with people that is not too high-stress. is this asking too much? how can i figure what id excel at and like? specifid ideas welcome. please help!

Has any one experienced Powerboost from Comcast? If so, whats your though on it? Unfortunately I'm currently unable to use Powerboost because my modem is running on docsis version 1.0 instead of 1.1 like its supposed to. If any one could help on how to make the modem work with docsis 1.1, please help.

I never found this to be an attrative character trait in someone.
That's my gift to that for that special woman when I meet her is that I could have had lots of casual sex, great sex and sexual relationships with many women but I chose not to because I don't thinks it's an attractive character trait in myself or someone else. I've always told this to most every girl I've been with. There were a few times I did engage in sexual activity, but not a reguar behavior. I've always encouraged women to refrain from sexual relations because it's not an attractive character trait, it's not a healthy behavior, i.e., unwanted pregnancy and STD risk, and if the the guy doesn't already love her and want to marry her, she is just being ****** (if he does it right, she enjoys being ****** more than he enjoys ******* her).
How many of you women agree. That this is a good thing???

That has been about a year ago.I quit my job of (10) years, sold my house & left my friends to be w/ him.I know he appreciates that fact but sometimes I don't think he really understands what I have given up just to be w/ him.I've been getting depressed lately because I feel kinda of alone.You see, I am having a hard time making friends & have no life outside of our life together.The only "friends" I have are really just his friends.I thought I could make friends thru work but ended up working for a semi-retired CPA.It is only him & I in the office.Some days I don't see any one at all & the phone never rings.I eat lunch by myself everyday.I also go to school but the people I meet there are so much younger & are not interested in being friends outside of school.To make things worse, he just started a new job & is unable to e-mail or call me during the day like he used to.He has lots of friends & goes to lunch daily w/ different people, etc...I don't know what to do??? I'm depressed!!!
