Does anyone know of a DVR - Digital Video Recorder - that does NOT need an extra service to function? By extra service, I mean a subscription to TiVo or other such service? Basically, I'd like a way to record TV shows to a hard drive in the same manner as a DVR/Tivo allows, watch them on my TV set, but without the complications of a monthly subscription and service, or program guide, or any of that. I tried it once and it just was a pain. But I find it difficult to remember to always be switching DVD-R discs in and out of my DVD Recorder. So I thought, if I could get a DVR and record to a Hard Drive like you do with TiVo, but without the fuss and muss of the service and programs... that would really be the best thing. I could record by timer recording, not worry about discs, and not have to deal with program guides and service subscriptions.

I NEED this file. I think it is an auto save of a HUGE word document that I lost when my cat jumped on the keyboard and logged me out. I have moments when I noticeably exude confidence, but when i fail at something it takes it down a notch. I do pick myself up again time and time again I never quit, but I want to just get it right. But, pretty soon I may quit cause it never turns out well. To be more specific I naturally dont do well in social situations, so I "act" like a person who is comfortable in social situations. Now this works for a few days, but then falls apart because hey I am not naturally great at social situations so I can only do so much. How should I go about this situation? I am going to call it quits soon

First of all: Yes, I know it's been thoroughly debunked that Earth, Air, Fire and Water are anything resembling the building blocks of existance. Nonetheless it is still a highly popular theme in myth and fantasy and thus worth discussing. Any answer trying to bring me out of the Dark Ages will be reported.

I have seen a variety of concepts regarding the place of living creatures in the Four Elements model. Some sources identify plant life as representative of the Element of Earth; some go further and also claim fish are formed of Water and birds of Air. Other sources say all living things, including fish, birds, and even plants, are formed of all four elements in balance; thus the Element of Earth would be composed solely of rock, soil and minerals.

Can the history of these divergent theories be traced? What was the opinion of Empedocles, who first posited the four-elements theory in Ancient Greece in the 5th century BC, and that of Plato, who was influenced by him?

and nobody is Boycotting Micheal's books or records, like they're doing O.J.

After the first Jackson trial Micheal continued to have children at his sleepovers, and even saying openly (on an interview) that he thought it was a wonderful thing.

They didn't lock him up and guess what? He molested again and walked free again.

O.J. killed two people.
Everyone was outraged.
Micheal Jackson molested at LEAST two children. Everyone either laughted or didn't care.


Is this difference really because the population doesn't consider Micheal Jackon as "black"?
