First answer sound good.
What you want to do;
Nothing is free. But, if you can help girls put portfolios together, then this give them an incentive. You can enjoy your hobby and help them. Also, you can learn yourself. I not know much about this.
I found a link that may help you learn what your potential model wants to know. You go here and find out how to sign-up and do like the first answer say. Run an ad and say it your hobby and you help make portfolios for people as part of the hobby.

I could say a lot, but, just go to the link and figure out how best to make this work for your hobby and your free models.

Try www.modelmayhem.com, and discuss TFP with local models.
TFP="Trade For Photos", usually on CD. Use the forums to connect with other photgs and models, and you'll learn a lot. You'll probably see a lot of crap too, just because people like drama, but generally, its a good spot to network.
Also try www.onemodelplace.com, and www.modelcoast.com.
OMP has a pay requirement for photogs memberships, but its a little more upscale, the others are a free, but a bit more laid back.

You need to find girls who are just starting out and want to be models. They're not going to want to pay some photographer for a photo shoot. They will need a portfolio of shots in order to get noticed for jobs. Just look around. Place an ad in local papers or school bulletin boards and stuff.

Here's a suggestion. Check out the local small theaters or drama departments at high schools and community colleges. Actors are always looking for good shots for their portfolio. You could help each other.
