Since the standard form of a quadratic equation is y=a[x-h]^2+k , why are the coordinates for the vertex, (h, -k)? Shouldn't they be (-h, k)?

Imagine a weekly TV series where every episode featured a different story that took place during the 1960s . Some episodes would be about famous people and based on situations that really happened . Other episodes would be about ordinary people living their lives . NOW -- If there was such a TV show, what should its theme song be ? I only have three rules -- My first rule is that this theme song has to be a leftover from the 1960s . My second rule is that it has to evoke images of something that was definitely part of the 1960s . Two examples would be "If You're Going To San Francisco" or "The Age of Aquarius" . My third rule is that you can't nominate MY examples . Thank you in advance for your answers .

I have a couple of beauty questions. I am a fifteen year old girl and have pretty good skin, never had a problem with acne. I have kind of pale skin and freckles.

1. My lips always peel, even when I use chapstick. What is the best lip exfoliator or other product I can buy for this problem?

2. My skin around my nose is sometimes very dry and , although my skin is perfect everywhere else. I drink plenty of water. What can I do to solve this problem? Is there a special moisturizer or anything?

I will award best answer. I am looking for the best products I can buy locally (from a drugstore, etc. ) for these problems.

~*~*~ well my husband has a fantasy of being with to women at the same time doesnt every guy, lol and i want to be able to do that for him and satisfy his fantasy but i'm scared that he might develope feeling for who ever we decide to do this with or whatever, he says he wont he just wants to try it one time and i dont blame him because i think it would be fun to do as well, but how do i get past this wierd feeling of him having sex with another women, and its not like he is forcing me to do it or is constantly asking me cuz he doesnt its me that has it on my mind and that wants to do it as well, and i like to add spice to are relationship and do different things so are sex life doesnt get boring, not that it is but i like to make him happy in bed and satisfy him. so if anyone has advice for me please let me know thanks so much :) ~*~*~

I just picked up a 2006 DB9 for a great price only $112k with 10,047 miles on it. After taking this thing out and beating on it for an hour I realize I need to get s supercharger for this thing. Anyone know any manufactures I should look at?

My brother completely ditched me on this..and now i'm all alone..
I got a new i-pod nano ( the second new generation one) NOT the most recent that just came out but before that.
And when I plug that one ito my computer to download songs, iTunes wont pop up likes it suppose to..its like I never plugged it in even though the i-pod charges.
Anyways, please help me I want songs into my i-pod thats the surpose of it..
