I been without a car for two weeks now. My friends at work have been more then nice to offer me rides in and out of work. My friend won't take money from for gas, as she gets free gas through husbands work. What should I get someone who has been generous to pick me up in the morning and checks in on me to see if I have a ride home. What should I get? Whats to much or to cheap? She said I am doing you a favor and someday return the favor. I said I am good for it. But I really would like to get her a thank you gift without it offending her. As she was mad I was trying to give her money. What do I get for someone like this?

or could it be that if Richard Brason had to pay for tha kind of publicity, it would have cost him alot more, its no wonder he is rich,, smart thinking.
And when the maccanns are convicted he will get more free publicity, and say he just wanted to help bring out the truth about what happened to Madeleine, and that he feels his donation helped to give the best possible defence to her parents, and in turn it helped to get to the truth.

He is one smart, two faced person

An interesting phenomenon around here... LOTS of people answering relativity questions referring to the increase of mass as speed approaches c.

This is an obsolete interpretation. In modern physics literature, the word "mass" always refers to rest mass. The variable M always refers to mass, which always refers to rest mass.

It's obsolete for very good reasons: you can't correctly calculate effects of gravity using "relativistic mass;" relativistic mass is not invarient, but rest mass is. Even if you're using it to illustrate changes of inertia, it's different in different directions: you'd have to give a particle a different mass for each of x,y, and z motions. Scalar, invarient mass becomes a noninvarient vector. Messy.

When you explain that bodies cannot travel at c by explaining that they get more and more massive, it easily misleads the asker into thinking that if they were to travel at c they would become fatter and fatter in their own reference frame, which is clearly untrue.

I vote fundamentalists. Like in YA, most atheists here make me think about my faith, which is good. I’ve met atheists in real life. I don’t agree with them, but most of them are cool. We can interact just fine with mutual respect anyway.

Most of the venomous, hate-filled intolerant questions come from fundamentalists. Honestly, their questions don't make me reassess my faith; they make me embarrassed that they can hate so much and still call themselves Christians. And worse, they drive sensible people farther away from the Christian cause. I've met fundamentalists in real life too, and it's never pleasant.

My opinion is fundamentalists hurt Christianity more than non-believers. What's yours?
